    I am trying to cancel my service & cancel Auto Renew & the response is horrible.Trying to reach & very poor response. I am sending an email to the owner & file a legal complaint

    This unprofessional company has an inexpensive calling service but, as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for. The phone service itself is very limited with sporadic, but frequent, connection issues. **************** is nonexistent. If your device fails, forget about getting any type refund or subscription adjustment. When I attempted to get a refund for a MagicJack device that was never received or even shipped, I was told that the matter could only be "escalated" to another department. I eventually had to ask my credit card company for a chargeback. Don't let the cheap price fool you, this company isn't worth the trouble even if they were giving it away for free.

    It seems I am not alone in my displeasure with Magic Jack. I live in London, ON and was convinced to try their service. What was supposed to be $49.99 ended up costing me over $160. First, obviously, it is American funds. You are given a generic 1 800 number. You then pay extra to have that changed to a "Canadian Number", Your service with that Canadian number is cancelled. You are told it will take up to 5 weeks to do the transfer. This number change costs you $45. Various shipping and handling fees $30.00. This does not include the hours of being placed "on hold" to get help. I had ordered in September and been calling, emailing throughout. So once they finally agree to a refund, you have to place all the equipment in the original packaging and pay to ship it back to them. They have the returned item for about a week, they have sent it to their upper management to escalate the refund. I had to seek a new telephone provider which costs money and time. You can not put a price on your own personal time.

    I notified MagicJack in August 2024 that I would no longer need my phone number as I was moving from ********** back to ***************** and getting a totally different phone number. Since September 2024, they have repeatedly sent me emails demanding I update my credit card information in order to close my account. I refused to give it. They just kept sending me the emails requiring me to "update my billing info." I repeatedly told them I would not do so. At one point when I called to repeatedly complain about this, the man I spoke to told me, "after 90 days of no payments, they will close the account." Well 90 days would have closed on Nov. 30th. I just today, Dec. 15th received another email from ***************:Bank of ************** card not presentduring this transactionAK **** ***** ending in 7412Amount:$0.00Date:December 15, 2024Where:MAGICJACK.COMThis may have occurred for a purchase you made online, by phone, mail or when a merchant manually enters your card information.I do not know how they got that credit card information as I did not give it to them. I want all emails to STOP. I want them to close my account. The ********************** number for me no longer exits!

    Ordered on Black Friday ,they charged my credit card , but now a week later no order , I asked can we reorder , at full price not the black Friday ***** , **** was the rudest customer service I have ever dealt with ,she would not let me explain would cut me off and then just place on hold ,, ,**************** has a receipt but they Dont ,ridiculous, never been treated like this ,, their ceo deserves nothing but fired. , Dont trust magic ****

    I ordered a MajicJack over 2 weeks ago and have not received the device yet as it is stuck as the *** facility. I called MajicJack multiple times for a resolution and they are unable to assist. I asked for a refund and they are unable to refund my money. I asked for a replacement to be shipped out and they are unable to since there is one current in shipping.I wish I would have bought through Amazon and saved money on the device and gotten here in 2 days. I paid $7.95 in shipping and a $4.77 administration fee. I have submitted a dispute with my credit card for this shady company as the do not believe in customer service.

    This company does not provide the service as promised. Our calling service never worked from day one that we set it up -- several years ago. Trying to ****** is near impossible. I am in the process of trying to get an annual charge refunded back that was charged to my card just four days ago. I tried their phone number, only to be on hold in que for hours. I hung up unable to speak w/customer service. I went into my account online to cancel the auto subscription and cancelled my account, but no refund issued. This was easy to set up and very hard to cancel. I don't recommend Magic *****

    I wish I could give a NEGATIVE FIVE STARS! Within 30 minutes of activating my account incorrectly I was on the phone with a customer service rep to cancel the porting of my existing number. I followed his instructions to cancel online. He assured me it would NOT be ported and I would NOT be charged the fee of $19.95. Two days later my number was ported and i was charged $22.81!!!! I have sent multiple emails to get a refund and even disputed the charge with my credit card company. MagicJack refused the refund and my credit card recharged my account after a temporary credit. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE CROOKS!

    I sent my device back to you the way you said, with an RMA number in with the device and still no refund. Why do you treat people this way, just tell them you are not refunding their money, that's the honest way to treat people. I used your service for years, then I didn't renew my service soon enough so, I bought a new device thinking I could port my home number on the new device. I could not find this out until I paid for the new device. So , I bought it then found out I could not port my old phone number. Then I tried to cancel the purchase of the new device. But, there's no way to do that.I called customer service and was to to send it back and I would get a refund. Wrong. No refund.

    MagicJack has an auto-renewal function. Although I have not used their service for many years now, they charged my account twice in the past two years without my authorization for auto renewal payments. I sent emails and made phone calls but to no avail. They simply refused to refund pointing me to their subscriber agreement. I wonder how many folks out there are being charged for services they have not used! Unfair.
