Really no stars since they weren't the ones doing the move. 3/18/2025, ******* ***** at United first class moving quoted us one price and then 4/17/2025 for move the movers more than doubled the cost in order to take items. We still don't know when we will receive our belongings from stanford Van lines. Now we find out the company they contracted to stanford van lines who says they can't take credit card. They took it in beginning. I am going to contact Attorney General office about these companies.

I worked with ****** and ***** from United First Class Moving and Storage to arrange a move from ******* to *********. After doing to full home video tour, ****** presented me with an estimate over $6,000. I explained to her that i appreciated her time but that was way over budget and we would instead do the move ourself. At that time, I was passed along to her manager ***** who asked what price he needed to me to get the job. I told him i thought it would cost around $1,750-$2,000 to do it ourself. After a few minutes, ***** agreed to do the move for $1,750. I asked how he went down so much from over $6,000 to under $2,000. He said that we had just enough items to fill a 26' truck and since our move was under 450 miles then they would be picking up others items. This all made sense to me and i agreed to the move with United and paid a $750 deposit. The following morning i reached out to ****** with a better estimate on the number of boxes and again asked if we had access to the full truck for the agreed price. She quickly responded that we indeed had access to the full truck for the price and not to worry about what was said on the signed estimate because ***** had to show less volume to make the numbers work out. Faster forward a few months and we are now 10 days before our move and i am told that the price now is around $7,000. I explain the situation to both ***** and his manager as well as send the texts between myself and ****** confirming my statements. In return, I am told that it doesn't matter what ****** has told me and that i do not have access to the full truck. ***** then informs that the cancellation means we forfeit our despot since it is outside the 3 day window. I ask how can the salesman provide the false estimated and tell lies all while knowing United will try to shake a customer down a week before the move for 4x the original price. This company is a scam and the salesman are conmen.

I would not recommend this business to anyone. We moved from ***********, ******** to *******, ******* in October 2024 we were quoted a price of $4800 and ended up paying them over $13,000 more than a fourth of our belongings were broken or damaged, and the company took no responsibility at all. ive contacted them multiple times and the man keeps telling me hes had no complaints which I cannot believe at all. And as far as our initial quote of $4800, they said we didnt give them an accurate accounting of the belongings we had I have pictures that I would like to attach to this so you can see, all the damage that was done for example, one of our queen size mattresses was folded in half and taped so the time it came to us it was unusable when they pulled up to our new house in *******. They opened the side door of the truck and all of our boxes and bins were sideways upside down, crushed and broken , but the manager told me thats a normal practice. Ive spoken multiple times with the owner manager and he refuses to take any responsibility for the destruction of our property and as far as the price being tripled, he said that was on us. I would not recommend this moving company to anyone I believe that they just gave us that lowball quote so that we would go with them and then just kept raising and raising and raising the price.

I gave them a ****** dollar deposit and cancelled the contract within ******************************************************* 72 hours for a refund. Now they are refusing to answer my appeals for the reimbursement and will not respond to my emails. They are a fraudulent company and are scamming people for money.
