indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning service
issues; specifically, customers filing complaints are alleging delayed work and
completion of contracted pool work and lack of communication. On December 1,
2023, BBB submitted a written request to the company encouraging them to
address the pattern of complaints.
The
business has responded with the following statement.
“The
pandemic brought a lot of issues to pool businesses that depend on materials
and equipment imported from abroad. The
issues in the chain of supply for those products were big and it brought long
delays to our existing post pandemic projects. JECP already had many projects
in progress and the new projects that had already been signed up for new
construction and remodeling started to be affected. When the supply issues started to clear, we
were already behind in many projects. Besides that, our material vendors
stopped giving credit to small pool companies for equipment and materials... And to make things worse, many customers have
not been making their scheduled payments on time, affecting us even more,
delaying projects longer and affecting customers that have already made their
payments on time. These issues have been the cause of project delays and
generating complaints from our customers. We are a small pool construction company and we have been working
diligently to catch up with all projects that are behind.”
