- Advertising Review:In June 2022, BBB contacted ReAthlete regarding claims in its advertising.
Its website advertises "If for any reason you are not satisfied with your product, return it within 30 days of purchase for a full refund of your purchase price under our Money Back Guarantee...*If your unit has been opened, a restocking fee of 10% will apply. Opening a box to verify contents, size, fit, or color does not disallow a return. Products showing signs of use or missing inner packaging are not considered new."
According to the BBB Code of Advertising, advertisers should only use “money back guarantee” or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request. BBB requested that use of the term "money back guarantee" be discontinued if consumers cannot receive the full purchase price because of the restocking fee. The business did not make changes to its advertising.
