      We are very unhappy with Rolling Stone Granite in Ft. Myers, Florida. Initially we had discussed with their rep the possibility getting a countertop and full backsplash. Then we realized that we couldn't afford a full backsplash as our condo was completely destroyed by Hurricane Ian, and are having many out of pocket expenses. During the face to face conversations with their Rep we were told that if you only get the countertop it includes a 3" backsplash in the price. However, on the final invoice it said NO Backsplash because we had decided not to get the full backsplash but understood that it included the 3" backsplash. We have no place to stay in FT Myers so are staying in NY. They gave us an appointment on August 28, between 10 & 12, to install the countertops. So we flew in to Ft. Myers for this appointment. When we arrived at 10, they had already been there and installed the countertop, and there was no 3" backsplash. When we called them about the backsplash, they mentioned the invoice which said MO Backsplash and said that a 3" backsplash is not included. They said that they had no left over stone from our installation and would have to pay for a full slab and the cost of cutting and installing the 3" backsplash. We find it hard to believe that they have no left over stone from our countertop. They will not honor what we were told verbally. We are warning anyone that is considering using them to be very careful and get everything in writing.
