    Their public adjuster - Renato Vallejo misled us. After a water damage in my property, we contacted Renato based on a reference, on March 3, he filed the damage claim with the insurance on March 18 - 15 days after the incident. Thus setting the claim up for denial by the carrier - according to the carrier policy, claims must be reported within 14 days. Renato has advised us his extensive experience with claims, so either he lied about his experience or he forgot to file on time, either ways, he misled us. Following this, he has continued to mislead us on every interaction. When the carrier reported that our claim has been denied, Renato advised us via phone call that he had a letter from the carrier. When we messaged him for more details, his apprentice Jessilee advised us that he had left the country and was in Rome. When we called him, he said he never received a letter, instead he got a phone call. He's continued to lie to us, their website posts reviews - which I suspect to be fake. Finally, when I asked that he not represent us to the carrier, he said 'Contract cannot be broken'. Later on, he said we should pay him $250 to break the contract. This is illegal. I hope BBB realizes the criminal intent and prevents such practices from small businesses. I trusted Prolific based on the reference provided, but they have misled us.
