I hired Tidal Wave Concrete to replace my driveway. While the project was completed and the driveway initially looked okay, I had concerns about the workmanshipsome aspects appeared rushed or below standard. I decided not to raise a fuss at the time because I at least had a usable driveway. However, within two years, large cracks developed, and the color never faded or blended as the contractor had assured me it would. I wasnt looking for free repairsjust wanted to share honest feedback that might be useful for future work. Unfortunately, when I reached out, the contractor responded with aggressive hostility and threatened me if I posted negative reviews, which I found completely unprofessional. After this experience, I looked into other reviews and public records and was dismayed to find that similar issues have happened to others, including some with more serious legal *************** sharing this to help others make an informed decision. I recommend doing thorough research before hiring. I would not hire this company again.

I had the exact same issue as ****** M posted on this board. I now have to tear out the 40x25 **** he poured last month. His crew dug into my main water line and did not fix it correctly. After pouring, they knew the water came out of the ground and did not tell **** have to hire a plumber to fix the water problem. The day I paid disposite, he insisted the permit from the county was not necessary. I was so stupid putting my trust in ******* the county administrator told me I have to either tear it out or hire an expensive licensed engineer to ensure the structure. I already noticed the footing is only 8" in depth and 40% of the area has dirt coming out after only one month. They did the job in a rush and never really levelled it well. Many places has only less than one inch of concrete covered. They destroyed my neighboursfence and the yard. I have to purchase a pillar of sod to fix theyard they destroyed. They tried to fix the fence but could not do it correctly either. I have to hire a professional fence company to finish the job. All in all, since I met this guy, my life has become a nightmare. Now, I have an illegalslab in my backyard and have to make a plan to remove it in order to get my life back to normal.

Structural issues, cosmetic issues, and property damage!I contracted with him for a 27' x 16' rectangle patio slab. Instead of a 27' x 16' patio slab, I got the wacky shape of 24'10" x 15'10" x 25'10" x 15'10". I clearly stated during the quote process that I needed it to be a buildable slab because I would likely be putting up a lanai structure. He did not pull any permits, insisting it wasn't required - all THREE times that I asked him if he was sure that I didn't need a permit. I later called the county inspector and asked for an inspection, and when the inspector came out, he informed me that I had needed a permit and inspections BEFORE the concrete was poured (since I was planning to build on it), therefore I could not now legally build on it. The new concrete company I hired to fix everything said it was best to just tear it out and start over because there were too many structural issues, including not having footers correctly poured (I paid for 12" x 12" footers that I didn't get), and the measurements/shape/size was too far off to fix or to build a lanai on, and also it was not properly permitted to be built on.In addition to all the structural and permit issues, it was a cosmetic mess. There were holes starting to appear within a couple of days with dirt coming up and out of the holes, sharp spikes in the stamp work which nearly cut my feet a few times, sections of the stamp pattern completely missing and crooked, and a VERY crooked contraction line.He significantly damaged my lawn and my neighbors' lawns on both sides of me. He didn't cap off the irrigation UNDER the poured concrete, causing water to seep up between the middle section of the slab against the exterior of the house. He left big piles of concrete throughout my backyard.I paid in full $7100 and then I had to pay thousands of $'s to repair the damage, and to remove the slab. The most incompetent company I have ever dealt with. Please see my reviews on ****** and Yelp for pictures.

RED FLAG! I tried giving ****** a shot after the reviews I read here. First off, he wanted full payment before doing the job, I argued that. He ended up taking half up front and the other half the day of completion. The day he poured he stood around most of the day while his two guys worked. His truck was having issues so he was dealing with his truck after the pour and let the concrete set, this putting the salt down too late. After he left we had a big storm which showed me immediately that he sloped it all terribly. I have one side of my patio sending water to the middle of my house its sloped so bad the wrong way. The other side is sloped wrong too so it gathers into a 6 diameter puddle. The drains he gave me all have orange stickers that are 2/3 peeled off but the rest isnt coming off so it looks terrible. To recap: he tried to get payment in full before the job was finished (because he got screwed by some RV park). He didnt know how to do a salt finish, so he watched a video. Well I watched ******* too and had to tell him he had the wrong size salt and he waited too long dealing with his check engine light. He contradicts himself when he said he followed my pool cage contractors directions by leveling the concrete. You level it away from the house, not TOWARDS THE ***** My patio is a pond every time it rains, cracks are already starting to show a couple of weeks later. He made a young kid do the finishing mostly and he forgot to put in the break lines. So he had to come fix that with a saw.He left a mess of concrete places, half filled a hole and never came back to finish it. He had the concrete but dumped it in my yard and left it. String still all over my yard. Chunks of concrete everywhere and smeared on my deck.He has been telling me for weeks he would come back and fix it, but every time I try to hold him to when he says hes coming he has another job to do. Hes out chasing the next job and has NO pride.

DO NOT USE. Tidal wave concrete used to be “Pohlmeier Concrete LLC“. Look up their BBB profile. They are not licensed or insured and are scammers! Tanner P lost his license and now just takes your money, doesn’t apply for a permit, completes low quality or partial work, and leaves. He refuses to fix his poor work and just threatens to rip it out then blocks your number. He has multiple concurrent reviews with the same issues and situations. He is a scammer so please pay a little more for a licensed and insured contractor. Don’t end up like the rest of us.
