    They are misleading civilians and veterans at Whiting Field Homes into thinking they have a chance at getting a home by taking their money and application, just to keep their office staffing. I tried for 2 years, being told the waiting time was running 9 months average. Both years, 2021 and 2022 after 7 or 8 months when my apartment lease was nearing it's end, I went to check on my status and I was told by another person that they weren't renting to civilians, only military and DOD and that they hadn't even looked at the civilians and veteran list that entire year.
    This happened both years I applied and this is supposed to be a Watershed community offering equal opportunity to both military and civilians. They are not living up to their charter.
    People are mislead by front desk personnel to apply for these homes and leave deposits, and when their own leases come up for renewal, must balance the decision to go the more expensive route of a month to month lease, hoping they will get their Whiting Home, or sign another years lease where they are. It's a stressful decision, all based on a pipe dream and illusion from this company who know full well these people will never be offered a home.
    It's all a scam.
