  Our experience with Castro Gardening LLC has been less than ideal. Initially, we were told the work would take 3-4 days. However, they had a single employee working on our entire yard from 5/31 to 6/7. On 6/3, at around noon, I asked for an update because no one had showed. At first, they told me they were delayed with the turf and would be coming later than usual. At 3pm that same day, they told me their truck needed to get towed and couldnt make it at all. I overlooked all of this because I understand unexpected things can occur. The extra time it took to complete the work would not be a problem if the quality matched up. However, it did not. Two weeks after the work was completed on 6/20, we notified them we had significant uneven areas in the yard. These uneven areas were all along the side of the house and the back. They told us this was due to the rain and scheduled rework to be completed. Now, 5 months after the work has been completed and revised, we are having the same issue with dips again. After numerous calls and texts, they finally answered. Their solution is to charge us to fix the issue because they claim its due to poor drainage in the yard. I do not believe the yard has poor drainage because water is not accumulated anywhere. They also never advised us we needed a drain, if they had believe me I wouldve paid for it rather than dealing with this every few months. They also told us that our neighbors yard might have poor drainage, which I also do not believe to be the case because we had dips on the side of the house that does not connect to neighbors. I believe uneven areas on the surface are caused by a poorly compacted base level. Unless that is corrected, we will continue to have the same problem. However, they refuse to take accountability. I find this to be incredibly unjust when it hasnt even been a year since the work was completed. I guess they offer no type of warranty on their work.

  This contractor charges for majority of the work up front. Despite being page per his schedule doesnt complete in time indicated on contract and didnt complete job as stated. In the process of doing some of the work caused damages to my home of $2500+ told me he would take care of it and then told us he wouldnt and left us with the bill and incomplete work. Additionally this person uses undocumented workers and leaves them at your property with no supervision and does not take responsibility for the damages they cause.
