******* business, DO NOT get a membership here. They will have you sign a membership agreement saying an email will suffice as written notification of intent to cancel membership and then change the membership agreement without notification, and then attempt to charge you hundreds of dollars for unpaid dues, and send a debt collector after you even when I canceled the membership pursuant to the original membership agreement I signed.

Rate: negative 0 My experience with Amped Fitness was nothing short of a trip through hell. I’ve been a member since January 2024. Initially, the club was what my daughter and I were looking for, from the boot camp classes to the Zumba, and personal training. Months into the membership, we cycled through 5 different trainers, and the Zumba classes were no longer interesting, they would cancel them without notifying Life started happening for us and we needed to make adjustments. We couldn’t go to our training. We needed to cancel our personal training contract and gym membership and the General Manager LM gave us SUCH a hard time. He couldn’t explain anything to me or my daughter, as far as proper protocol for our cancellation process. He was extremely rude and displayed no sense of humanity when telling him my reasons for needing to cancel. In my opinion, the entire staff is unqualified to run a business, ESPECIALLY LM! He lacks business etiquette and also shows that he cares more about flirting with the female gym members rather than being supportive and professional enough to maintain memberships. How can a business fire him and then bring him back. This company is a complete joke!!! Please do yourself a favor and avoid this gym. Save others and never refer this gym to anyone! Also, I agree completely with Earl V. That is the norm of this business very poorly

ZERO stars. Place looked great. Easy to join up.But they signed me up for the most expensive plan when I said I don't need all that stuff. Saw it on my bank statement. Reversing it was not easy but changed my plan to what I wanted. Working out went fine. For a week. They talked me into, and I signed up for 3 mths training 1 per week @ $55 each, 12 total. Too many complicated machines to know what I'm doing, I'm 60+ and didn't want to hurt myself. Four sessions in, the trainer quite! If you sign up for just say 12 training sessions, they automatically sign you up for more. NO REFUNDS. NO CANCELLATION unless you pay ONE MORE MONTH just to cancel! They guy who sold me the sessions was fired first week. The *** of the 3-Lakes gym was Fired same month! I began to have serious back issues almost immediately after the trainer started. He is nice, very good, not sure that was what caused what I have now - A SURGERY appt on the L2 - L5 with fusion and inserts come Dec 11th! Was it the training? Don't know but there's $50 grand going.I went in to cancel membership and training. Nope, can't cancel, only Suspend billing on monthly membership but they wanted ANOTHER MONTH TO BE CHARGED before even considering to cancel! Training sessions - NO WAY! Even with surgeon paperwork, can't cancel, they don't care. Total I used 5 sessions but had to pay for 20 just to get it cancelled.People not nice about it, said if I cancel the card, they will just report me to their lawyers and to the Credit Bureaus. So risk it or pay $220 cancellation fee?Total spent over $1200.00 hard earned dollars to use only FIVE WEEKS before injuries. Wonder if a lawyer would take ******* NOT RECOMMEND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AT ALL AMPED

I am extremely dissatisfied with the unprofessionalism I encountered when signing up for personal training. I was given incorrect information during the sign-up process and was not informed that I would be required to continue paying for training sessions even after canceling my membership. Moreover, it was never communicated to me that I would still have to pay for a trainer with whom I was not even training. The lack of communication from the trainer was also appalling. The trainer failed to call or text to follow up and schedule sessions. Despite my repeated attempts to get in touch, I received no timely response. This entire experience has been highly frustrating and unprofessional.

Do NOT sign up for personal training. You will be given incorrect information or flat out lies just so you can sign the contract.
Then when you try to cancel, they will blame you for signing it.
All they seem to be worried about is meeting their quota.
