  They requested photo of shower handle, they said they didn't have the part needed but would bring 3 different cartridges which usually fit this faucet. The plumber said he installed one of the cartridges but that it still leaked when the shower was on but stopped when it was shut off, that if I wanted the authentic part he would charge me $166.90 an hour to drive through ***** traffic to go find it at a plumbing store, so I said I could live with the leak while I was bathing. The leak did stop when he shut off the faucet but later that evening when I checked the shower it was leaking again after being shut off. I called the office the next day, they hadn't sent me an invoice, they said they would order the correct part and come install it the next day and I would have to pay another $255.00 for them to install it. I told them to order the part for me and they said they would only cover the work if I used the correct Delta Part. I paid for the part and did the repair myself, the bonnet nut was glued in place by calcium deposits and took hours to release using CLR and JB blaster and 3 other loosening methods. The original cartridge was also calcified in place and had to be chopped out with a screwdriver, hammer and needle nose pliers, it took me about 8 hours to do it because I kept checking the 10 ******* videos addressing this problem. Apparently this is a totally common problem and any plumber worth his salt would have known this before even showing up, and could have done the entire repair in 1 1/2 hours with the proper part even if I had to wait 1 day for that part to be delivered to them. Also in closing, the plumber charged me for at least a half hour more than he was there, the shop is 5 minutes from my house and when I finally got the bill what he said he did was not what he told me he was doing at the time of the job.
