    First: I know there were no visible marks or damage to my furniture while it was in the storage unit. On the move from Taxes, each piece was individually wrapped in blankets and when the item was placed in storage the packing and blankets were removed and each piece was inspected for damage. A couple of weeks after the furniture was placed in storage, the College Hunks (from a different franchise or location from this complaint) were hired to remove the furniture from storage and sorted and replaced into storage again giving us easy access to important, near-term use of items needed. So, at that point, all of our furniture was in good condition.When it came time to move our furniture into our apartment, we called College Hunks to do the move because of our prior experiences. From the start of this move the two men that were sent assured us that everything would be handled with care. It wasnt. They did not protect our furniture with blankets. They continually placed boxes and other items on top on fine furniture marring the finish. At one point when they moved the jewelry armoire, three drawers fell out of the unit breaking one of the drawers. The man just picked the drawer off the floor and put it back in the unit as if nothing happened. Also, a couple of the drawer k**** are broken off the unit. Its apparent from the damage to the furniture that there was no protection while on the truck given the scuff marks to the finish on the furniture edges.A day after the move I filed a complaint about the damage. No response. I sent the same complaint to the *********************, and they forwarded this to this franchise. Again, no response. Again, I contacted the *********************, coping the local franchise, and made a threat to seek help from the BBB and transportation authorities. A few weeks later, a response from this franchise saying; I could not prove that the damage was caused by them! They said that the damage was caused while in storage.

I take this matter very seriously and am dedicated to resolving any concerns personally. Regarding the claim submitted on May 8, 2024, I want to update you on our findings. Our claims specialist, Linda, followed up the next day, May 9, 2024. Upon reviewing the damage reported, we found that the scratches on the items appear to be pre-existing and not caused during our handling. The photos of the truck and padded items suggest that these damages may have occurred during the initial move from Texas into the storage unit. The lighting conditions inside storage units can sometimes hide scratches that might not be visible in natural light. We have been in constant communication with you and are committed to reaching a resolution that is satisfactory for both parties. If there are any further details you would like to discuss or additional information needed, please let me know. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    All I can say at this point is: This franchise of College Hunks has customer service that is non-existent. They are using the fact that I have no proof that they caused the damage to my furniture and won't even offer the contracted dollar per pound insurance. Do not use these people to move your valuable furniture.

After carefully reviewing the photos of the reported damage, we conducted a thorough investigation. We also consulted with our third-party repair specialist, who reached the same conclusion as we did. The damage observed appears to be minimal, primarily along the edges and ends of a few items. Such damage might not have been noticeable without natural light, especially when items are stored in a storage unit. I remain committed to resolving this issue to your satisfaction.     This location is truly a joke. I had a move scheduled at the end of June and during the move items were missing and not delivered. I had reached out to the company every day since the move ended and did not hear back until almost 2 weeks later that they only found one of my missing items on the dash of a truck. I have been waiting for the manager to call me back to inform me the status of the last missing item and nothing yet. I continue to call the company since the branch has no direct line and the "manager" continues to miss my calls after multiple voicemails. The company can only send messages to the branch to have them reach out to me. I am still waiting after almost 3 weeks since my move to have a return call from a higher up about my missing items. I have told all my friends, family, and church about my horrible experience and lack of good customer service. 2 of my friends had appointments booked with this company but cancelled because they did not want to have any items missing. It is so sad that I have to call every single day to get the status of my missing things after i had paid them in full. I am still waiting for someone to get back to me. its a shame. i wont wish this on my worst enemy and will never use this company again. sorry

    Upon reviewing your claim, I see that we promptly sent a team member back to assemble your bed free of charge. Regarding the concerns about missing items, such as a Publix bag of tools and an old PlayStation, our records and the signed contract confirm that all items were unloaded as agreed. In good faith, we issued a $25 refund, based on the $0.60 per pound coverage option you selected for your move. Despite this, it appears there have been some misunderstandings, and the situation has led to negative feedback about our company all over as you stated above. Please note that disputing the payment is a breach of the contract terms, which the client soon did after the job. We strive to provide the best service possible and take all feedback seriously. If there are any further details or concerns you wish to discuss, I am here to address them.

    I need the business owner to contact me. There seems to be a misunderstanding on their part. That is not true facts which I have in writing.
