This company repeatedly over charges and then blames the customer for their failures. Horrible company to deal with. I highly recommend staying away from them They like to gas light you by telling you how competitive they are but then deliver rates that are way higher than my normal carriers. I dont appreciate how they then blame me for things like communication when it is clearly their failure to contact me if there are critical info missing that then need to develop a good quote which I have yet to see! Just like the customer below. They dont contact you to give good customer service to find out what they can do better. Instead they get their feelings hurt and blame blame blame. (I would have no problem deleting a bad review. But not in the manor they try and blame the customer for their failures. I have a huge dealer network as I have been in this game for a long time. If they would have just called me things may have been different .Review fromRobert h

I purchased a Humvee (AM General m1151A1) from a government run auction called Govplanet.com. Goveplanet.com has a referral program to a company called veritread LLC. The function of Veritread is to find a transportation company to transport the Humvee from their location to a location chosen by the customers. I signed up forVeritread referral program and choose Car Carrier Group Inc. as the transportation company to transport my newly purchased Humvee to my mechanic's work place. I received a call from Car Carrier Group, Inc. (the referral from Veritread) by the name Manuel asking questions about the roads and how to transport the Humvee to my mechanic's shop. I advised Manuel the driver to contact Earl C. to arrange for the time of the delivery. AS it turns out, Manuel did not call my mechanic Earl C and Car Carrier Group, Inc. loaded 4 trucks on his trailer. Manuel called me after his trailer was loaded that he could not make the delivery. I asked him why? He said his trailer is 40 foot long and cannot make it to my mechanics work place. Manuel and his bosses as well Veritread blamed me for their mistakes. Veritread (Jesus) told me it is not his problem and it is now my problem to pick another location for the delivery. I gave Manuel my home address and he still refused to deliver to my home address either claiming his 40 foot trailer could not make it to my house. Manuel, his dispatcher, Veritread & Car Carrier Group, Inc. told me there is nothing they can do and if I do not provide another location for them to drop off the truck, they will take the truck to a tow yard and that would be my responsibility to take it out and arrange for yet another delivery and pay for storage fees. I advised all parties, it was not my mistake, the driver should have called the mechanic on time before loading his trailer with 3 other trucks, Humvee was delivered to a local church and I had to re tow the truck to my mechanic's shop. Veritread is a ripoff. Be aware.VeriTread LLC

VeriTread provides an opportunity for customers to list their shipments to our freight marketplace in order to receive free, no obligation shipping quotes from the transport companies in our network. Mr. H used our platform on 6/8/22 to solicit transportation quotes from providers that are on our platform. We do not serve as a referral service for customers and providers, instead, we provide shipping customers with pertinent information regarding any quoting providers so that they can make an educated decision on who they want to move their freight.
On 7/12/22 Mr. H accepted a transport quote on our platform. It should be noted that the provider is a Gold Rated Broker, 98.5% total rating, with nearly 1100 jobs completed on our platform. It should also be noted that transportation providers only see the pick-up and drop off city, state, and zip codes prior to submitting their quotes to carry. There would have been no way for this provider to know that the delivery of this item would be on a mountainside prior to being assigned the load.
Mr. H sent an email after hours to our support team on 7/14/22 advising:
"Dear support:
I have a major problem with the company that is delivering the Humvee.
I gave the write address on the GovPlannet and I also notified the driver about deliver instruction. He did not listen.
He wont deliver the truck to my mechanic. Please advise. This is what I wrote to the company that I choose to pick up the Humvee and deliver the Humvee. I did not make mistakes. I did not do anything wrong. I expect this Humvee to be delivered to me. I have paid for this in full.
Dear Car Carrier Group:
Yesterday I got a call from your driver Manuel regarding the Humvee he was delivering to my mechanic.
He told me he may deliver the car today or on Friday.
He asked about the road and delivery instructions and I advised him on the following:
The Humvee was being delivered to my mechanic. Earl Courtney and I gave Manuel Earl's number.
I advised Manuel that my mechanic Earl lives on the mountain terrain and narrow roads.
I went even further and told him to contact my Mechanic to get more info on the road and delivery instructions. I even texted him the details and I can provide copy of the text and time.
Today he calls my mechanic and asked my mechanic about the road. He was told the same thing, he lives on the mountain side, same address as it was on the GovPlannet.
Not to mention we have taken deliver of other Humvees to this address from GovPlannet.
As it turns out Manuel has a long trailer and he was loaded with 3 other cars for a total of 4 cars. His trailer is too long to enter the road where my mechanic lives.
We told him we live on the top of the mountain, we told him to check the address before he loaded his trailer but he did not listen.
He calls me to ask me for a place to park the Humvee. I do not have a place.
A regular trailer CAN make it to my mechanics house. A superlong trailer is not going to make it. We have taken deliveries for other Humvees before.
Manuel is asking me to find another tow company. Well I hired you guys. I do not have another company.
Please advise."
VeriTread does not have visibility once the load is assigned to the transport so we reached out to the provider directly on 7/15/22 to obtain insight regarding the load. It was at that time that it was confirmed that Mr. H's final destination was not able to be supported as it would prove to be unsafe for the driver and all of the vehicles he was carrying. The quoted rate that was provided to Mr. H was not for a dedicated flatbed, as that would have proven to be much more costly. Both VeriTread and the transport provider tried to provide Mr. H with alternative options to take delivery of the vehicle including delivering to the bottom of the hill or to another location within a few miles of the original one. The transport provider contacted customer support to advise that they have not been able to reach Mr. H to confirm where he wanted to have it delivered and they would have to take it to a storage yard. Through a text conversation with Mr. H, the threat of filing a false police report stating that the vehicle was stolen was brought up if the vehicle was not delivered to the location as requested. Late on 7/15/22 there was agreement made between the transportation provider and Mr. H on where the item could be delivered safely and delivery was completed.
Mr. H submitted a chargeback with his credit card company reversing the $135 VeriTread fee under the false reason of "Product not Received". As we can see here in his own statement, he took delivery of the Humvee.
We are truly sorry that this issue arose and hoped that more understanding could be given for the safety of both the driver and the freight. Within the world of transport there may be issues that come about, however, we do our best to effectively communicate and come up with viable solutions to overcome them, which was the case with Mr. H's freight.Robert h

Most of the responses Veritread has given if false. Lets stick to the factual events:
1) My Humvee was taken hostage. They refused to deliver my Humvee. We had a written agreement. So if that is not stealing then what is? They would not deliver my truck to the original and actual destination point and location on the PAID invoice unless I accepted their new terms and conditions in less than 5 minutes. They gave me 3 choices:
A) Pay much more to deliver the Humvee it to the actual destination on the invoice. (bait and switch)
B) Drop it off at a Tow Truck and make me pay for storage fee and all other kind of fees. (taking my Humvee hostage)
C) Drop it off to a street closest to my mechanic's workshop or my house. (change contract without my consent. Breach of Agreement)
I did not want to pay additional fees for the delivery;
I did not want the driver to take the Truck to a tow yard since I do not have a valid registration/license plate or the paper work to get the truck out of the yard. I purchased this through a Government Auction that Veritread has a contract with.
I also did not want them to drop it off 2-3 miles from my residence or my mechanics residence.
None of the above options were logical or viable.
When I notified Veritread that the delivery company refuses to honor their agreement and deliver the Humvee to my destination point, their supervisor Jesus Irizarry blamed me for their mistake and told me his office was closing in 5 minutes and there was nothing he could do. "Go deal with it"
I had to find another Tow Company last minute to pick up the Humvee from the new FORCED drop off location and tow the truck back to my mechanic.
I paid to have my Humvee towed from point A to point B.
Veritead did not honor their agreement and did not facilitate the delivery as agreed.
Veritread washed its hands off the contract and blamed me for their short falls.
Yes, since the Humvee was not delivered to its original destination, I have placed a charged back on the charges.
Yes, since the delivery company took my Truck hostage and demanded additional fees even though we had a written contract I have reported them to the DOT as well as the Attorney General of The State of California.
