    **** Wilks was a terrific painter who could be trusted to do a good job. He painted 7 rooms of our house and I grew to trust him even if I left to run errands. A year later we gave him a $660 deposit to install our backsplash and he ghosted us. He finally responded through social media and said he'd lost his cell phone, but after trying 3 weeks to reach him we've given up. We noticed on Yelp that he has 3 recent reviews that are also cases where he ripped people off- taking deposits and never doing the work. He was begging for work on social media Fall 2023 and at some point broke up his girlfriend. Unfortunately, it seems he's stooped to theft to make ends meet, rather than continuing to make an honest living.
