Worst moving company (if you can label them that). Uncooperative with giving specified dates and times. Does not take credit cards (BIG RED FLAG). I was moving on short notice at the end of June - so I was in a bind. Guarantee Moving didn't even try to work with my schedule,The actual movers are hustlers - just looking for a tip.My belongings were in "storage" - $625/month- don't think the storage area was temperature or humidity controlled - from the condition of the boxes they had been exposed to excessive moisture not just from a rain shower.Called to start a claim for my broken items. Needless to say, I didn't get a return call. I decided not to pursue the money to avoid the aggravation - but to get revenge by writing a scathing review.

If I could give zero stars for this company I would. A year ago we paid this company over $4000 to do an interstate move. However the movers never showed up. We tried to call and email, but there was no response. Finally a week later the company called and pretty much said tough luck. I REPEAT, DO NOT USE. They will steal your money.

this is the worst moving experience I have EVER gone through, NEVER MOVE WITH THEM. They tried to scam me saying the cubic feet were THREE times the amount in the estimate (when I had measured everything and knew it wasn't) and tried to charge me $4500 for a move that fit in a u-Haul 10' truck. I canceled the move then and there, ordered a u-haul, and drove up 880 MILES ACROSS COUNTRY with my parents. After I canceled, the two movers contracted to pick up the move (who were not part of the company btw) told us that it would've taken about a MONTH to receive my things, when they had told us that it would arrive in 48 hours. THESE PEOPLE ARE ********.

My experience was exactly the same as all other people giving this company 1 star.THEY ARE SCAMMERS, BUT YOU CAN GET YOUR MONEY BACK. If you paid with a debit card, talk to your bank's fraud department and open a case. Tell them how this company never calls you back once you give them your deposit, the low BBB ratings, how they bait and switch with the price, etc. Once you get your money back, these crooks will start calling back all of the sudden asking you to get your move re-scheduled and all that. Do not answer any of their calls, as refusal of service is in the contract. Hope it helps and good luck. Get your money back and put them out of business.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage BEWARE!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They have a policy that you have to give them an upfront nonrefundable deposit and that if you dont move in a specified amount of time you lose your deposit. My 80 year mom gave them a $1400 deposit to secure her move from WA to ** a year ago. Well, with the inflation and post Covid affects on the economy, she was not able to sell her home until now. The Company told us no problem just call when she was ready to move. The company refused to honor or extend her contract as she went over a year slightly. We feel they totally took advantage of a Senior Citizen and basically stole her money!!My mom is in the poverty level income and lives on a fixed income. This Company was not even willing to work with her. We didnt want our money back, just an extension. They said her money was forfeited and she would have to start from scratch. Save yourself the frustration from getting ripped off by this company and go with Uhaul U-boxes instead. For half the price, no contracts and nicer more honest people to deal with. You can do the packing yourself or Uhaul has laborers you can hire for affordable price to help. Thats what we did.

Stay away!! This company is the worst. They quote one price and then once all of my property is on the sidewalk they double it?! It felt like extortion. Then part of my payment did not go through... even though I was told I paid and they come back to collect the remainder. The person I was communicating with was horrible. She was rude and condescending. She refused to have my file looked at to resolve anything and would only say I had to pay the amount in full BEFORE it could be looked at. That's no way to provide good customer care. Then she threatened to report me to all kinds of oversight bureaus. Please find someone else because this place ***** balls!!

I could not be more dissatisfied with the way my move was handled. It was as if I was assaulted by a band of thieves. I retired on 10/06/2022 and had scheduled to move for the following week to the house I had purchased for my retirement years. I am a planner and had reserved this move in February, eight months prior to my retirement and move. I spent months carefully packing my items in boxes. I was assured by Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage that all was in order and that the way the move was ordered would be the way it was carried out eight months later. In short, NOTHING, occurred as promised in my “binding estimate;” NOTHING. • Not the price. Quoted $2,826.87. Paid $10,855.78 • Not the promises in the “binding estimate regarding stairs, packing materials or delivery unpacking. Charged for stairs and “distance,” charged for packing tape and blankets, no unpacking or reassembly of furniture items • Not told to have “cash, cashier’s check or money order” on moving day • Not the timing. Told move day was 10/14 -10/15 actually was 10/16/2022. Delivery promised after 11/06 was then told 11/04 and after argument changed to 11/05/2022 • NO CARE OR RESPECT was taken or shown with my belongings. Multiple items were damaged; tv destroyed, chest of drawers destroyed, multiple boxes smashed. Boxes were missing. • NO RESPECT was given to me as a customer. Tips were demanded almost like ransom. I was ultimately directed to www.movingclaims.net. After two months I heard nothing. I contacted them and was told the moving company was not contacting with them and I needed to contact them myself. It was Speeding Moving Company in Clifton, NJ. I called and they had gone out of business. I was screwed by Southern Guarantee, Moving Claims and Speeding Moving Company. Thieves, liars and bandits. Beware. Go anywhere but Southern Guarantee. All they guarantee is that you will be swindled.

After telling the rep about my storage unit that it was a 10 x 20 and that it was about half full, that I need to get from *********** to *********** **; he told me that he would take care of everything. He asked how many boxes. I over estimated it at 35, he asked about furniture, I told him about two dressers, a porch swing, *******, and a floating chair. He asked me about anything else that he needed to know about, I let him know I had a motorcycle. He told me that they could move it all for $3,180.00. It was more the getting a truck and doing it myself but not by much so I agreed. They took half the money upfront and then showed up two days before I asked them to. I had to take an extra day off work. The driver showed up and said you get only two panels. It was not enough space to put my bike and 8 boxes. When he called the dispatch they told me that if I didnt let them take it then I lose my deposit of $1,560.00. I explain what happened and they told me to bad we will not give a refund. I was on the phone with them for over 3 hours. Now I am having to go court to get my money back.
