I had a terrible experience that ruined my daughter's birthday party. There was a crew working on the playground. They had loud music, a generator, jackhammer and were shirtless. I went to talk to them and told them we had a 3 year old's party soon. The worker was indifferent. I said we had a reservation. One said he didn't care about a kid's birthday party. They weren't told of a reservation and that's my problem. I asked if they could clean up or let the kids play on part of the playground, and they said no. I called Brevard County. Their immediate reaction was confusion, he didn’t know they worked on Saturdays. He reached out to the playground company and they called to have the work stopped. I thought my daughter was going to be able to have most of her party. Then, I saw they were wrapping caution tape around the playground. If they would have called the company when I first asked, maybe that wouldn't have happened as this took an hour. The worker started yelling at my husband telling him he was leaving, and he hoped we were happy, but the kids can't play on the equipment, if they do it is on you. He was angry + nasty. My guests said they are fighting! Two of the workers got in a physical altercation with each other. I don't know if you have ever tried to explain to a three year old that they can't play on the playground at their birthday party they had been looking forward to, but that is not a fun thing to do. I am so disappointed in the way this was handled by Playmore workers. No one checked to see if there was a reservation at the park. They were very rude to us. They didn't contact their company to see what to do, as if they would have stopped work sooner, maybe the kids could have played. I have already sent this message to the company. They did nothing to make up for this incident. If I were a school or county, I would not want their unscrupulous subcontractors/day laborers on my property. I'm sure the salesperson is nice, but the workers are not.
