Kobie Kooling did another great job for us! 4 years ago our old AC system failed in August and Kobie was able to source and install new AC compressor and air handler in 2 days during the pandemic! Last week, just before Hurricane Milton our AC compressor failed under warranty and they were able to source the motor/compressor and install it in 1 business day! Awesome service! Hats off to Mike (co-owner) and ******* (our tech).Review fromMichelle M

I had high hopes for this company. Their radio ads are very compelling, so I decided to give them a try when my mini split system stopped working, because I was dissatisfied with the A/C company I had been using. To be fair the repairman they sent was very pleasant, and he did some research to find the company where my system came from, contacted them and that company sent a new condenser unit. The same technician installed the new condenser and the system seemed to work fine when he left. HOWEVER, (this is where things go down hill) the system stopped working the same day it was installed, which was yesterday. It tripped a breaker. We reset the breaker, it tripped again, this time with a loud popping noise. I called Kobie the very next day and they sent a different tech, who proceeded to tell me the issue was with the "whip", apparently water had been in the whip, I was told brackish, and the previous tech thought it would be fine when he connected it to the new unit. The new tech told me I needed a new whip, cost $225. I was struggling to understand if water had been found in the whip why hadn't it been replaced when the new outdoor unit was installed, so I called to talk to manager in hopes the manager could better explain the "why" behind the situation, he called back, sadly he was very rude to me so I cancelled the install of the whip, not enough space to give more detail. My husband came home work and saw the cover to the main house electrical panel was off-leaving the inside of the panel completely exposed-this is an OSHA violation, he then inspected the unit and the whip and found they used an incorrect romex connector on sealtight, the connector was over tightened tearing the sealtight which caused a short that made contact with the internal wires and burnt the wires, which could have caused a fire, I have pic. of the incorrect romex connector, and burnt wiring-wld include, not an option, thankfully a fire didn't happen.Kobie Kooling, Inc.

Although some of this is reported correctly, we replaced a mini split condenser as a warranty repair after finding warranty coverage for the customer. The system is not registered and does not appear to be permitted, but we did the repair for her. The issue with the electric Line from the machine to the house is not something we normally fix, its normally done by an electrician. This electric line or whip was in place when we got here and apparently failed. When we advised the homeowner what to do, she simply became upset and communications broke down after that. Both our mechanics and the service manager **** ***** the third correctly advised her to replace the electric whip. She decided to do that and then not to do it and apparently her husband has found or corrected some of the issues. The review is unfair because we actually helped this lady to warranty and unpermitted air conditioner, and fix it correctly. Im sorry she had a secondary problem, but to blame us for a secondary problem that we did not create isnt really fair. Im going to help her get her warranty process and finish what we started. But I dont think it wont have anything to do with the customer after that Because we dont like knee-jerk reactions and complaints to the Better Business Bureau for no honest reason. Being mad that you have a secondary issue is like going to the hospital and the doctor find something wrong with you and you get mad at the doctor. Its not fair and its not honest. This was not our fault, it was not our part, customer canceled our repair, and now shes mad. I dont know how to fix that so I wish her well and I hope she can find somebody to satisfy her service needs.Review fromJanet S

We love Koobie Kooling. They installed our original A/C unit. Anytime there has been a problem, they are out and fixing it in a very reasonable amount of time. We had an issue of the A/C not working. They came out and fixed it or we thought it was fixed, it wasn't. Called them back and told them it wasn't working after the service call. they came back right away and fixed it. We wouldn't use anyone else for our A/C needs.Review fromRichard R

Honest, fair and fast. My family and friends have used for several years now. 2 years ago I was told I needed a new air exchange for $1,300. I knew something did not add up so my son in law said call Kobie. And- just as thought the low voltage fuse was blown because landscapers step on outside wires while trimming ******.. other than the service call that was it.. fixed Recently it sounded like my compressor was struggling to kick on. Called Kobie and and so glad I did . They fixed to Trane standards and it hardly makes a noise noise. If not fixed and caught immediately it would have damaged the compressor or even maybe a whole new unit.. thanks for being fair and honest ??Review fromNichole R

Do not use them. They came to my home and didnt find what was wrong so instead of sending someone else they said everything was working good then my ac broke and I called a real ac company!Kobie Kooling, Inc.

I will look into this call and customer to find out what happened but just like the doctor at the emergency room, we can only diagnose what presents to us. I dont know the issue yet but to condemn a company because the machine broke after the service call seems harsh.Review fromDoug L

On April 26, 2023 Kobie Kooling performed routing maintenance on my **, and no issues were found. I paid the fee, but on the same day of service, I noticed a thumping noise near one of my exit vents in my living room. This noise occurred every time the air was on and was quite annoying. One of their service men came to inspect when I wasn't home. He said he didn't hear anything, which was a lie, because the noise was evident every time the ** was on (I made sure he was under the correct vent). I called the manager and he was useless. A local ** serviceman came over on May 19, immediately heard the noise, and determined the cause. The serviceman agreed, along with myself, that the Kobie Kooling repairman was lying to me and most likely didn't want to inspect, let alone do the repair work. DO NOT use Kobie Kooling for any ** maintenance. Maybe Kobie Kooling has become too big to service the "Little Guy," Regardless, stay away from them!Kobie Kooling, Inc.

*************** is accurate to say we performed routine maint on his hvac system, which has nothing to do with the ceiling grills. He complained of a noise and we responded but could not get the noise to repeat while we were there so we left this with instructions to record it on your phone if it happens again and call back. The notes in the work order are very clear.
First- the noise in the grill can not be cause by a mechanic cleaning the ac system. The two things are very separate. Next- its unfair to claim ************ is lying because we could not get the noise to repeat itself in front of **. We have serviced this home before and always responded to the customer with competent NATE certified mechanics but apparently this noise in a ceiling grill bothered this customer enough to slander our company name because hes upset. Im sorry he had an issue but his attack of our reputation is unwarranted. I wish him well but I guess you cant make everyone happy.Review fromCarol S
