The Platinum coverage plan was purchased from Ashley furniture back in 2018 with a seven piece dining room set. The table has coverage for the chips and scratches to the finish. I sent photos along with the claim that shows the areas that need to be touched up. I checked the warranty and those areas are covered. I filed a claim on 2/3/23 so that a technician can at least look at the dining table but I was sent an email stating it will not be covered because it’s just wear and tear how can you determine the full damage from just photos. If this is a 5 year platinum warranty as claimed why is there an issue? I would like to file a grievance for misrepresentation because I quote “worry free lifestyle protection our promise: straightforward solutions without the hassles”. They told us that if it was an accident we have only 30 days to file a claim which we were unaware of this policy until they sent an email on 2/7/23 when I called to get an update. We could have saved hundreds of dollars and headache from this fraudulent company who prey off of customers buying products from other furniture stores. They wanted to send an outside technician that would be out of contract so we would have to pay more money so that company could rip us off too. What a world we are living in just be careful who you give your money to lesson learned. Will never buy another extended warranty from any company again!
