  Advanced Generators installed my generator in 2018. They provided a written proposal (a signed contract) which did not state tax was extra. It came time to pay, and they threw tax on top of it. My lawyer directed me not to pay it. I spoke with Tim (who owns the company) about the matter, and he told me I didn't have to pay the last-minute charge for tax. I figured that was the end of that, but no. Fast forward just short of a year. I had a $1,000 controller go bad. I asked for it to be replaced under warranty. They came out and removed the controller from my generator and proceeded to sit on it. Months went by to the point that I finally started to call Kohler. I was informed that the part was in stock, and no warranty claim was submitted. Reference the above paragraph and figure it out. I had to complain to Kohler about Advanced Generators to get them moving. My maintenance contract was over, and I decided to not renew based upon the horrible experience I had so far. Everything has been fine with the generator until recently where it started running rough. Today, I figured It's time to get an expert involved. I called and Carla answered. I inquired about the cost of a service call. She asked when the generator was installed. Carla pulled my file and put the phone down and left the line open. She just put the phone down and walked off. I called back later, and she was right to the point. She said we will not work on your generator. I asked why. Carla said it's because you didn't pay your balance due on the install. I asked "for the additional tax you wanted to charge over and above the proposal"? She said yes. Nobody charges tax after the fact for an agreed upon contract (a signed proposal). They tried after the fact to get more money out of me which fell outside the contract terms. It is worth noting that when Tim, who owns the company, sold the generator to me, he made it very clear that he would never service my generator if i didn't buy it from him. RUN!

  Stay away from this company owned by Karla and Tim.!! This company is the only certified Cummins Whole House Generator company in our area, so l had no choice but to use them to service my Generator, which THEY installed 7 years ago. Karla has been nasty and abrupt to me since we started using them to service our Generator. Last June 2022, I told them I heard knocking noises when the generator tested. The tech replaced parts and of course they were expensive parts, but nothing worked. He had me have the propane company come out to replace something too. The generator still did not work. The Tech decided to turn off our electricity to see what would happen when the generator took over. We heard a horrible noise, which the tech said he didn't know what it was. It turned out the "broken" generator had blown and destroyed the compressor on our air conditioner unit. They refused to reimburse me for the compressor and told me I picked a bad Generator to begin with. (Why didn't they tell me this while it was under warranty. Advanced Generator was the only company that ever worked on tour Generator!!) Then Tim,the owner, told me to call Cummins -and said he would not take care of our generator any more and hung up.
