  Someone needs a class action lawsuit against this underhanded company. I was helping my sister (who has cancer and is on a fixed income) to get an account set up to be able to talk to her son who is incarcerated. Before you can even set up the account, they ask you for your payment information. So in order to even see if it is the right fit for what they needed, you have to put that info in. Well, guess what, it wasn't. Less than 24 hours later, I called to cancel only to find out she'll be charged $20 and will only be refunded $30 back. To alot of people, this doesn't sound like much but for her, it's a lot. I hate that these people continue to get by with this - they certainly aren't the only ones doing it but by preying on people who miss their family members is a pretty crappy thing to do. I would give them ZERO stars but I didn't have that option.

  They ask for too much information. Red ****************** is called GlobalTel and they are a company that provides "low cost calling for inmates and their families". Which is fine. But they are preying on the desperate and I fell for it a step at a time. They asked for my birthdate, address, relationship to the inmate, photo of my drivers license!!! Photo of myself!! And credit card information. All the while my son was trying to call using the service. I am smarter than this but I provided what they asked for. There is no reason they should have all of that unless they are facilitating identity theft. I want my information back but it's ********* Box....I am asking the company to delete my information. I wish I had checked them out BEFORE falling for this!! GlobalTel or Interactive Media Technologies are the same. Shady. As for the charge for 3 months service, I saw that; what I am not clear about is how my son can use the service to call us. Thank you for listening and I hope the appropriate agencies will check on this. Thank you.

  I'm so upset! At the most vulnerable times of people's lives, this happens! I was not aware that I would be charged $49.98, the print must have been so fine, that it could not be read. Afterwards, I tried to contact the company to cancel, but it just rings until a recording comes on, your only option is to leave a message because there is 'no support staff available'. I tried to cancel online, but there is no way to do this. This is so heartbreaking because with enough on our minds with our loved ones being incarcerated, it doesn't help that this company takes advantage of that! Not to mention our credit card information may be compromised...so upsetting!

  SecurTel provides no upfront information that you will be charged $45.98 for a 3 month subscription. The cost is in the fine print of the agreement. They provide you a Google voice type number to register for your people to use to save cost on calls. They have a non refund policy in that small print agreement. There is nothing on the five pages that you sign up to use their services that says this $45.98 is automatically charged to you. You receive an email for the charge. This is a rip off because their information states they are associated with Securus Technology and they are not affiliated. Do not sign up for this company it’s a ****. There are so many terrible reviews about this company. BEWARE

  THIS SITE DOES NOT DISCLOSE THEY WILL BE CHARING YOU JUST TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT THEN I'VE CONTACTED THEM SEVERAL TIMES, THEY HAD TWO WAYS I TRIED BOTH I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN A RESPONSE WHILE AFTER YOU SEND YOUR MESSAGE IT SAYS SOMEONE WILL RESPOND IN 48 HRS IT HAS BEEN WEEKS SINCE I'VE SENT MULTIPLE MESSAGES WITHOUT ANY RESPONSE THIS SITE IS VERY MISLEADING & FALSELY ADVERTISES THEIR RESPONSE TIME I WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND & FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED DUE TO THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION FROM THIS SO CALLED BUSINESS

  I would rate 0 stars if I could! Was looking online for information and set up an account. The site never disclosed the $45.99 fee. I then I called to customer service they refused to issue a refund and the woman actually hung up on me when I said I would be making a complaint!

  Awful, they don't disclose that you are going to be charged $45.98 just to create an account. You can't speak to an actual person to get a refund. And the only way to talk to a billing person or supervisor is through email.

  I would give this company no stars but I have to do at least one to leave a review. Their fees are hidden in their ******************* I have NOT used ANY of their services but they will not give me a full refund. They said a Full refund might be considered for our customers in cases when our service did not make inmates calls cheaper. I told them that the services I am currently using are cheaper than the fees Ive already paid to them, without knowing. But I cant even be considered because I havent used their services. But I have repeatedly explained that I DO NOT want to use the services. I did not realize that I was going to be charged when I signed up because the fees are hidden. I am DEMANDING a full refund as this is ridiculous & unprofessional. I am not the only other person complaining over these fees.
