I currently have filed a claim in March on my ** refrigerator ; They order wrong parts . Still waiting. Not happy . Its been three months . Had to pay different amounts of money. Ive been with this company for years. Ive been trying to reach out to a supervisor, but keep getting the same people.. keep getting rude messages from the billing department, threatening to cancel my services; I have an open claim with Myrtle Beach appliances who have ordered the parts, but the parts havent came in yet. This is a very stressful time to not have a refrigerator for three months.American Residential Warranty

Recently had a dryer heating element go. Put in a claim with ARW and they set up to have there repairman come out and look at it. He ordered the part and had to wait for approval. Once approved had to set up a day to install the part. After it was installed I used the dryer a couple days later for the first time and by the 3rd load the heating element went again. Called their repairman, JUST APPLIANCES, twice no answer or return call after I left messages. Called ARW but they only guarantee it 30 days AFTER you submit the claim, but between submitting the claim, having repairman check it and ordering part, approval of part, reschedule installation, and finally running the dryer 32 days expired. They refused to do anything more, I spent $125.00 for absolutely nothing.American Residential Warranty

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the details surrounding your recent claim.
After reviewing your account, we can confirm that you were informed your Limit of Liability (LOL) had been reached. Nevertheless, ARW extended a courtesy concession to complete the initial repair. It was also communicated at that time that any additional repairs could result in out-of-pocket expenses due to the exhausted LOL, at which point you chose to cancel your account.
Were sorry to see you leave and hope this explanation brings some clarity. Should you have any additional questions or wish to discuss the matter further, were here to assist.

We recently submitted a claim to ARW regarding a degraded main drainage conditionspecifically, a "line belly"which was identified by a plumber while clearing a clog in the main drain line. This structural issue in the line was determined to be a risk factor for repeated clogs and, based on the plumbers assessment, is expected to continue causing blockages unless properly *********** part of our claim, we provided ARW with documentation, including invoices for previous drain-clearing services and a written quote for the recommended repair. These documents were annotated by the plumber, detailing both the services rendered and the discovery of the degraded pipe condition. Importantly, we did not request reimbursement for any prior work performed. Our claim was solely for coverage of the necessary repair to address the identified issue. At the time of filing, no repair work had been performed, contracted, or scheduled, and we communicated this clearly in our submission.Despite this, ARW denied the claim. Our understandings is that the denial was related to the fact that we independently engaged a plumber to address the initial clog. However, this action was taken in response to an emergent plumbing issue and was not related to the repair work being claimed. It is unclear why this would impact coverage for the underlying condition that was subsequently discovered and documented. We respectfully believe that we have provided substantial and credible evidence that the degraded pipe would cause recurring clogs and warrants corrective action. If ARW prefers to verify the condition through their own contractor, we would welcome that. However, outright denial without offering such an option leaves us uncertain of the correct path forward. If the intent is that we must wait for yet another clog to occur before receiving assistance, this seems both inefficient and avoidable. As such, we would recommend others against reliance on ARW for home warranty services.American Residential Warranty

ARW doesnt even deserve one star. This is the worst company and biggest ****** I have encountered. After being contacted and having the coverage and costs provided to me, I paid in full upfront for one year of coverage, otherwise I would have cancelled this warranty after my first attempt to get a repair. ARW did not repair one thing the entire year and on top of the yearly price I had to pay $125 for a technician to come out only to find out that my repair was not covered or the technician couldnt find a problem. When I asked what I paid the $125 for I was told that was the cost for processing the claim, it was not part of the cost for the repair or the technician fee. DO NOT WASTE your MONEY and get ****** *** like I did.American Residential Warranty

Thank you for your feedback and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few important details.
We understand your frustration and want to note that, as per your request to cancel your account, the associated claim was also canceled in accordance with our policy. When you enrolled in the program, we provided the full terms and conditions, including a 30-day money-back guarantee. This period is designed to give customers time to review the coverage and determine if it meets their needs. Unfortunately, this guarantee period had expired by the time your concerns were raised.
Regarding the service fee, it covers the cost of dispatching a technician and processing the claim, regardless of the outcome of the diagnosis.
We value your feedback and are committed to improving our service.

After 1 year of no claims getting approved by this company I called to cancel my policy. After holding for 20 minutes I had to provide all this information and what my issues were. Only to be told the reason wasn't good enough. I am used to businesses canceling your policy when the term is up. They put me back on hold for another 30 minutes. BUYER BEWARE if you are looking for reputable, credible home warranty business DO NOT use American Residential Warranty!!They just want your moneyAmerican Residential Warranty

We apologize for your experience. Your claim was denied because the issue reported was preexisting, which is not covered per the terms of the plan. All of our calls are recorded, and the longest hold time you experienced was five minutes. Our customer service agent needed the reason for your cancellation request to see if we could improve your experience. Your account was canceled as per your request.
Thank you for your feedback.Review fromRachel T

THESE THIEVES DO NOT DESERVE ONE STAR!!I have been with this company since 2019. I have been the biggest fool because I kept paying my hard-earned money to a company that is nothing but a ****. Run far away from this company if you don't like throwing money down the drain. They always find a way to not pay for your item. They love telling you something is not covered. I paid the fee for a service provider to come out on my microwave about 5 times, and the sucker still isn't fixed. I could have bought a new microwave with that money. This last and final time I decided I was not going to give away any more of my money and they left me with an open and unsettled claim on said microwave. Do not be a fool like I was and make this company rich because they do not care about you. After I cancelled my policy, they tried to pull money from my account several times per day for about a month. I called them every day asking them to stop. Each *** that I spoke with guaranteed me that it would not happen again. Sure enough, later that date an attempt was made on my account. I forgot to tell y'all that I had previously spoken with my bank and stopped payment from these thieves. I am glad that it was only my microwave that they chose not to proceed and honor the warranty. I am ****** because I willing paid on this stupid worthless warranty. Trust me...do not get fooled like I did. RUN!!American Residential Warranty

******, we appreciate the time you spent with us since 2020 and regret that our services did not meet your expectations.
During your time with ARW, we paid out $1750.34 in claims for your microwave, refrigerator, plumbing, and water heater. We strive to provide clear documentation about what is covered and what is not, as every warranty has exclusions. We understand that you would like to have everything covered, but these exclusions are part of the plan you signed up for.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the repeated attempts to withdraw money from your account. These attempts occurred because your payment was late, and your account had not yet been canceled at the time.
We are sorry to see you go but understand that our plan may not be suitable for everyone. If you have any further concerns or need assistance, please feel free to reach out to us.Review fromMi A

My wife and I are in our mid/late 70's and we had an absolute terrible experience with ARW and KEEPE.For 3 summer months in 2024, we went with NO Air Conditioning.74 days after my claim was opened and after numerous lies by both ARW and KEEPE, we were notified that ARW was going to buyout our claim. After our claim was opened, it took 17 days to schedule a Tech who diagnosed the problem and said he could not proceed without ARW's *********** took another 12 days to receive the ********* took another 20 days to get the Tech to return to conduct a Leak Test.ARW contracted "KEEPE" to locate local repair services.KEEPE failed to keep scheduled appointments with us and lied to me about the name of the repair company they said had been scheduled. (No such company was confirmed).Despite my objections to ARW to continue to work with KEEPE, ARW continued to work with KEEPE on my claim. On multiple occasions I was told KEEPE would have their completed report submitted to ARW by the end of the day. These promises were not kept. They continually lied and I made this known to ARW. ARW and KEEPE both showed NO compassion that Senior Citizens were without AC during the summer months. If there was any compassion, it would not have taken 74 ******* one point I was told my "Out of Pocket" to repair my Air Conditioning would be $390.I suggested that it would be a positive gesture for ARW to absorb this out of pocket due to the headaches *********** suggestion was declined.Once my claim was closed, I twice wrote to ARW and asked if there was any type of compensation they could provide us for the unacceptable length of time for Seniors not having AC during the summer months and for a truly negative experience with them. Both letters were unanswered.I do NOT recommend both ARW and KEEPE.American Residential Warranty

*******, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the delays and inconvenience you faced during the summer of 2024. We understand how challenging it must have been to be without air conditioning for such an extended period, especially given your circumstances.
While we deeply regret the delays and communication issues you encountered, we want to highlight that during your time with ARW, you paid $1,600, and we paid out over $4,500 for your AC claim. This payout is ******% of the amount you paid, significantly exceeding your contributions. We hope this demonstrates our commitment to supporting our customers.
We appreciate your feedback and are continuously working to improve our processes to ensure better experiences for our customers in the future.
Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We want to clarify that we send work orders to service providers, who may accept or reject them based on their ability to take the job. This process is not uncommon, and your claims were opened just a few days ago.
We are actively working on getting your claims resolved as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Poor customer service. I filed a claim and after 2 weeks I finally got hold of them and told me I have to wait 30 days. Break down of appliances happened anytime. They can't processed my claim since it is not 30 days yet. But they waited to charged me for my second month payment so I can't refund the payment, even if they have 30 day guarantee.I cancelled my account but I want my money back but they refused to do so. What a scam?!American Residential Warranty

Thank you for your feedback. We have reviewed your account and the recorded calls.
During the sales call, you were informed about the 30-day waiting period for service, which is also detailed in your plan's paperwork. You were also advised of the 30-day money-back guarantee. You called to place a claim and provided a failure date of two weeks prior to the plan being effective, which is why your claim was denied as preexisting. Additionally, you are past the 30-day money-back guarantee period.
We have followed the terms and conditions of the plan, and you were advised of these during the call. Therefore, no refund is due, and your account has been canceled as per your request.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.
