Will not allow RV inspection by experts prior to purchase. Shady one sided business practice designed to give dealer unfair advantage in sales process. With RV quality decreasing and complexity increasing, independent inspections are critical.

I was about to buy a camper as we agreed on the price, which was just below MSRP. Then I requested that I would like to get an inspection done before taking delivery of the camper. The sales man stated it is their policy to not allow inspections by outside persons, only the owner is allowed to do inspections. This is a one sided practice. Campers / RV's have become complex with solar, battery systems, generators, internet devices, slides, jacks and the eyes of an expert who is not emotionally attached to the RV is needed to provide an objective assessment. The sales man explained that in the past such inspections have resulted in a lot of work for the dealer to make changes required after the inspection and the warranty process would cover such cases. Given the 6 month long lead time they have for getting into the shop for warranty work, it is in the customers best interest to get an inspection done and all issues fixed. Parkview clearly sees this as a conflict of interest and has implemented policy to prevent this. We walked away from the deal and recommend others do the same until they change their policy.
