    I had a truly terrible experience with this mechanic. Not only did they not bother to consult me before purchasing the parts, they went ahead and charged me a whopping $353 for a Kia Optima starter that I later found out costs only $189 at Advance Auto Parts. When they called me to inform me of the total cost, my jaw nearly hit the floor when they quoted me $761.22! I immediately declined the repair, but to my dismay, they insisted the work was already done and slapped me with a labor charge of $158.84 per hour, billing me for two hours despite the fact that the starter replacement should've taken no more than one hour. But the cherry on top? When I pointed out that the starter's actual price was much lower than their outrageous charge, they remained eerily silent. To add insult to injury, I ended up shelling out a staggering $700 for a mere starter that I could've purchased myself for a fraction of the price. This mechanic's lack of transparency, exorbitant pricing, and disregard for customer concerns are utterly unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend their services to my worst enemy. If I could review this experience -5 stars, I would.
