  Appalling customer service. Contacted Custom Mechanical to do seasonal inspection on May 14th. He did replace part and at same time I signed a service agreement. A few days later called Stacey to tell her hvac unit was making noise and humidity in condo had increased. Told me I could schedule appt for another tech to reinspect for $150. I am part time at this address and when I returned on June 25, I had no ac. Had another inspection and subsequently spoke to service manager. He sent me estimate for $5600 to replace unit. In meantime, I called 2 other companies and both told me repairs were covered under warranty. Custom Mechanical initially never told me about warranty repair option. I received another call from Custom Mechanical asking me about replacing unit. At that time, I told them I knew certain repairs were covered under warranty but they never told me about that option, $3000 less than replacement. Needless to say, I hired another company. As a woman, I feel Custom Mechanical probably assumed I have limited knowledge about options to restore air conditioning. What’s equally unprofessional is I wrote to owner, Regan Robert - Deck and never received a reply. They advertise as a woman owned company. As a former manager for a major pharmaceutical co., I know what a reasonable expectation of customer service is. She certainly needs further education. I very active in women’s professional organizations and I will use this as an example of poor business relations.

  DO NOT give Custom Mechanical your credit card or debit card information. They WILL charge it without your approval or knowledge. If you do hire them, do not follow any suggestions from their technicians. Following their advice will cause further damage and increase the cost of your repairs.

  BEWARE!!! My Aunt, who is a senior citizen, asked them to come to her property to do an ESTIMATE ONLY for $171 and then WITHOUT her permission or consent, this company withdrew $614 from her bank account without ever telling her. Police are now involved. Neither my Aunt or Uncle ever gave consent for any work or charges or had any knowledge...there was NO contract. This company LIED (seems to be common practice after reading some of these other reviews) & said they emailed my Uncle, whose name isn't even on the property deed. My Uncle never saw an email let alone spoke to them or gave consent for anything. The company manager is very RUDE and is REFUSING to give the money back to her. So unprofessional. Can you even imagine having money withdrawn from your bank account by a company and you never gave them permission to charge your account? There was NO contract to do any work because they didn't do ANY work. This was supposed to be for an estimate only! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! And definitely DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK CARD or CREDIT CARD INFO until work is finished. In fact, I would never use a debit card if you decide to go with them....use a credit card so if they do what they just did to my Aunt, you can go to your credit card company's fraud department to dispute charges. Also contacted the district attorney because my guess this isn't the first time this has happened. And the bank is investigating what they did as well.

  BEWARE!!!! This so called business just charged my retired Aunt's debit card WITHOUT her permission, took almost all of her money out of her bank account without her knowledge or consent, and never even fixed anything. The call was for an estimate ONLY! The charge was supposed to be $171 to look at it and give an estimate. They didn't even do any work! But they went and charged $614 to her bank account and took the money right out of it. There was NO contract at all. It was estimate only. Disgusting they took advantage of a senior citizen!
