Important information
- Advertising Review:In July 2022, BBB contacted D.A. Vento Refuse regarding claims in its advertising.
Its website includes the statement 'Remember our unique guarantee...“Satisfaction guaranteed or double your trash back!"' Under the BBB Code of Advertising, when using the term “guarantee” the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details can be seen prior to sale. These details must disclose any material limitations on the guarantee. Advertisers should only use “satisfaction guarantee” in advertising if the seller refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request.
The business responded that this is a slogan that is not meant to be a guarantee and told BBB it would be removed, after BBB suggested adding a disclaimer to prevent confusion. To date, the slogan has not been removed nor has a disclaimer been added.
