I have been living here for 9 months now. It's a struggle to get maintenance to fix anything at all here. They are rude and unprofessional in so many ways. Came in today because I received a letter stating I was behind on rent. I had a copy of last months ledger stating I overpaid $125. However on this months ledger that credit is magically GONE! I hand them last months ledger and the staff eye balls it and states there must have been a glitch and that I have no credit. Then refuses to do the math and claims I did not overpay. I do the math and find out I am overpaid however the overpayment was $115 and not $125. The response was for them to raise their voice and start screaming at me until I decided to walk out the door. This is not the first instance of them suddenly losing money either. They did it last month (which is why I overpaid) and they have done it two previous months. The lease was also changed over to solely my name; however, all of the billing and letters coming from the company are in my old roommates name who no longer lives here or is on the lease. I also have two different neighbors who have been having issues with the office losing their money orders. One of which are getting evicted over it. Their lease agreement is also illegal and includes no forms of subletting or getting out of the lease unless you are active military. I've never been the type to slander a company over a review, but never lease from Harvest. They will gouge you for every penny and still demand more. Also forgot to mention that my upstairs bath faucet blew up and leaked all through my kitchen ceiling the day I moved in. They gave yet to fix that so when I take a shower I can feel the tub sinking into the floor. You can even see the toilet clear as day leaning into the floor as well.Review fromJohn S

DO NOT LIVE IN ANY HARVEST PROPERTIES MANAGED RENTALS!!!! Air conditioning is a "luxury" and NOT something they feel needs to be fixed in a timely manner. It is currently 90 degrees outside and the unit I have with my 2 kids is above 85 degrees. They have over 100 unites located at ******** **** ********* and have ONLY 1 licensed HVAC technician on staff to service them all. Most of their HVAC units are outdated and constantly fail. They state they have an emergency maintenance crew.... they don't. You call an emergency number which is anytime after 5pm or during the weekends. They simply do not care, even if you tell them you or your kids are feeling sick from being too hot, not being able to sleep due to the heat, or otherwise. Just because the cost might be slightly lower than what the rental for a house would be, get the house.... it will be worth the extra money each month.Review fromAP A

I live in ********* ******* this is terrible last 2 months my toilet has been coming up in my sink. The manager T tawana will not take any calls at least not for me, will not send a plumber out. Seems there's no way to contact the people that own the place been trying for the last month. The 800 number all they do is take messages and say who they tried to get in touch with no help at all.Review fromMD D

Harvest Properties does not care about their tenants. ********** ******* has turned into a disaster. There is new management now and since the switch in March it has gotten worse. Our hallways and stairwells are so gross I wouldn't let an animal eat off of it. Meanwhile they keep raising everyone's rent. All the money we are paying for rent there it should at least be taken well care of.Review fromShelly B

I'd like to give them zero stars....living on one of their properties now with new management and they are completely horrible and have no type of business ethics. The owner needs to fire everyone and start all over. Since I've been here my rent has gone up twice already and I've only been there 2 years. They want more money but the place looks like a s**t hole. The hallways and stair wells are dirty now when they were cleaned at least once a week. There is garbage and junk all over the property. I shouldn't have to pay all this rent out of my pocket and feel like I'm living in the ghetto. They do background checks on who they feel like doing it on and others they give favors to cause I know for a fact they aren't checking some of them out. I am to the point where I am going to get a hold of a news channel and blow the whistle on them publicly!!!Review fromMaria D

Harvest Properties calls themselves a management company? The only thing they manage is their unprofessional and rude behavior. They are quick on cashing your rent check but have an issue and you are treated like you are beneath them. The issues here are many, too many to list here and someone needs to look into all these complaints. My son and I have been subjected to harassment and Verbal assaults since the first day because “we don’t belong here.” All started over parking by the Maintenance man’s wife. She bumps my car with hers and it is my fault for parking there? My son threatened by Maintenance man and his crew and nothing done. Drunk old man calling my son all kinds of colorful names for no reason. Nothing done. Recently wedged my foot in a 3 inch deep gap in sidewalk and forced to park in street with a broken foot and on crutches because “tenants” complained where I was parking. “Tenants” meaning the same tenants including maintenance man that have been making my life miserable for 7 months. Sidewalk never even addressed. I had to fix it. Now I risk falling on crutches because of where I have to park. They will fine me or tow me should I park close to my apartment because of other tenants. Slider still not replaced. Mold in between glass. Doesn’t lock. This company is by far the worst to deal with. You are laughed at and told good luck getting anywhere with complaints. They sit in the office doing nothing. Maintaining things is not part of the maintenance man’s job. Hiding his truck from view is. This is far from country living. It is my worst nightmare.Review fromElizabeth B

The company has a poor idea of how to keep tenants happy and living safely. They allow rats to inhabit the property, they refuse to treat the grounds for pest in places that families reside (many in basement apartments) the foundations leak and when management is notified promises are made that are never remedied. However, they are quick to raise rent by the hundred and claim that it is to remain competitive in the market. Nothing is fixed and you are made to feel guilty when you do ask. We are treated like the rats that inhabit the property. The drive is full of potholes, management fights with you when your cars is towed (within 14hrs of eachother) the permit stickers are written with fading ink markers that have your apartment number on then so when you are wrongfully towed it's still out of your pocket. They is no understanding that that us unsafe and one day someone more vulnerable living alone will be followed home. The children's playscape is a sad excuse for recreation it's out of date an dangerous. There are broken pieces of equipment from previous playscape strewn in the grounds that kids could get hurt off of. Families are harassed to keep children inside our stand outside with them while they play (as if no one has to prepare meals and keep home for them). They wouldn't need to be supervised if they had a safe place to play like what was promised at signing lease. Everytime the community comes together to try and make the property more livable the management will send harassing notes (grammatically incorrect at that) which dehumanizing the tenants who live here. The tenants make it a comfortable place to live-- not management. They are too busy flipping apartments and leaving us to fend for ourselves. Washers and dryers are always leaking and broken but you can rest assured that the price for that also goes up. I was told I have a new tub. It was painted not new and now the paint is peeling much like the layers of paint they splatter on the walls.Review fromNicole T

Ok I have lived at one of there properties for 4 years now and never had someone complain about me or my family. Well about 3 weeks ago there were people that moved in to the apt under neath me. Well we can’t walk across the floor with out them beating on the ceiling. I made breakfast for my kids over the weekend. They started pounding on the ceiling. They also have came up knocking on our door telling us to shut up. I came home yesterday and there was a letter on the door that we have had complaints about a noise violation. We don’t listen to music the most we do is walk from one room to another or vacuum. We should not have to walk around my apartment on egg shellsReview fromSylvia H

They are Slumlords for Mangers. They increased my rent by $150 and I was told there was NO Plans for any Upgrades to my apartment, NO carpet replacement, which should have been replaced before I moved in 2018. My Complex Hot Water Tank Busted it Damaged the ceiling in the Laundry room which Damaged the Lights and the Ceiling has a BIG Hole in the Laundry room with the Wires Hanging Out and this has been over a Year now. I was told that I Don’t Have to Renew my Lease if I was not pleased about the Increase in the Rent and if I wanted my Carpet to be Cleaned or Replaced they were going to Charge Me $500. I was also, told that any Upgrades would be done once I Moved Out??.
