    I would be careful in dealing with this company. Make sure you're fairly close to their headquarters. When we contracted with them in 1999, the owner insisted, despite our distant location, that they would continue to service the equipment they were selling us. For many years, thankfully, they did come every so often to do maintenance checks or fix the equipment. But about two or three years ago, I realized it'd been a long time since I'd gotten any notices from Conn. Basement suggesting it was time for maintenance. I called them and Luke, the service manager, got all vague and was like, "uh, gee I don't know if they" (don't ya love it: "they") -- "go up there anymore," as though he had no idea who the customer was and as though there was no prior business-customer relationship, and he had no idea about the current service area. The truth is, he must have been consulted by owner Steve Sienkiewicz about the change in service. They should have told us that they would no longer serve us and perhaps even have given us some ideas on other companies that would. I think they were derelict in their duty in this regard, given the health concerns caused by radon. Most of the techs at this company are good people; but management isn't helpful. And like I say, they'll abandon you if they decide you're out of their service area.
