I called safe and sound electric for estimates on different things in my house. I mentioned at the beginning that down the road I was curious what it would cost to put a washing machine in a closet on the first floor. in the four estimates I was given ranging from $32,000 to $7,000, that was included. I will actually put the washing machine where I have a dishwasher that I don't intend to use. also, he told me it would cost $3,000 to run an electrical line for the microwave because he thought I wanted to put the microwave under an existing range hood instead of replacing it. I said if it would cost me $3,000 obviously I wouldn't have a microwave put in. I feel ripped off and I will hire a different electrician.

I've called "Safe and Sound Electric" of Greenwich, CT to fix my bathroom seiling fan.
They warned me that just for coming to my door I owe them $79. I've agreed.
On 9/20/2023 two men came and told me that $79 includes free home inspection.
For about an hour they went though all rooms in my house and came back
with list of problems: in all electric receptacles the voltage according to them
was low (they demonstrated to me about 112 volts in one). They told me
that this is a huge problem and just to fix 1 place in the house will be
      around $600, two - about $1,200 and 3 or 4 -- about 1,800.
I've asked them to skip fixing the whole house and just replace the fan.
They told me they can't do it, and I have to talk to their boss,
at which point I wrote a check for $79.00 and asked them to leave.
Then I went on amazon, bought a digital voltmeter, it arrived next day,
and I've measured in the same receptacle 123 Volts AC.
I am under impression that these guys arrived to my house with no intention
to do actual work I've invited them to do, I am never calling them again
and would like to warn the public of this scheme.

Dear *********  Thank you very much for reaching out. We tried calling you back but were unable to reach you. We are very sorry you had a bad experience with us and will work to make this right. The circuit analyzer we used was indicating that there are some bad connections on some of the circuits and we wanted to correct those issues before we did any other work. The voltage tester that you bought will show the instant voltage, but it is not as sophisticated as the analyzer that we used and will not simulate adding a load. So, your tester is showing that as long as you do not plug anything into the outlets, it will test fine. We would be happy to come back and explain this to you in more detail.
