Signed up with Datto, and service was not bad. Overall, its a decent product. When I cancelled at end of my contract, they kept billing me. Their excuse was that the account represenative is no longer with the company and therefore my cancellation request never got submitted. I submitted my cancellation request per their terms. Its now been over 6 months, they are still billing me. Looks like I will be contacting credit card to avoid any future payments to them. Been one of the worst service cancellations Ive had to deal with. If you decide to do business with this company, I recommend that you keep records of everything for evidence if you need to cancel and/or request a refund.

I was pressured into signing a contract to avoid additional onboarding fees and made a mistake. My Company was considering outsourcing a help desk solution for our own clients and thought we needed a product datto provides called Auto Task. I agreed to a 24 month contarct at 95 monthly plus setup costs. That 18 months ago and we haven't even logged in to the portal. It's my fault for making the bad choice but I've tried to work with our contacts to reduce the term or allow me to buyout a shorter term or since they fully know that I've never used the product once, do the right thing and let me out of the contract. Most emails for this period of time go unanswered, I've left voicemails at the corporate office and no call back. I've been lied to so may times about this getting investigated and come back and tell me the upper management won't approve it but everyone "understands" that they should work with me on the matter. Now there's only 6 months left on the contract and I still cannot get in contact with anyone simply stating what we owe and that it won't auto renew. I've owned a business for 19 years and would never charge a client a service we're not providing or one we do not need. Again, all my fault for making a wrong choice but the way Datto has ghosted me and their unwillingness to negotiate a buyout or simply let me out of the agreement seems very unprofessional within our industry, very much missing the big picture of reputation and helping out a tiny "former" MSP. We don't even provide the service directly to our clients any longer. It's seems like illegal behavior but I signed the contract. I've never seen something not be negotiable. I'm very disappointed with Datto as a whole and their organization's unwillingness to actually help in this situation instead of being money hungry. So far we've spent or wasted rather $2,210.00. Now that's how you make a mistake.
