  Upon visiting the naturopathic doctor, I was given various supplements, which I took under the doctor's direction and care. I had trust in them seeing they had the medical background and expertise in treating patients with my symptoms. As result, after approximately three months of taking these supplements, which was a grave mistake, I began to lose and furthermore, lost all of my hair on the crown of my head. I immediately reached out to my primary care. My primary care reviewed and read up on the supplements I was given from the Doctor at Tao Vitality, and they concluded and attributed my hair loss to the extreme levels of Iodine that I was taking. The side effects of taking this high level of Iodine are severe hair loss. It should be noted that this whole event happened a few years ago and it is only today I have had finally mustered up the courage to finally write up a review. At the time I spoke to Dr Hinchey, and asked if they would refund my money back. She stated that she would speak to her attorneys to see if they could come up with a remedy for this situation. During this conversation, she stated that she spoke to her lawyers, and it was their recommendation that they would write me up a general release form and refund me the money with the contingency of a "gag order" and not seek retribution via a lawsuit and not be able to speak negatively about their establishment. I respectfully declined, because of the principle of the whole ordeal. Because for me it was not about the money, it was about being able to tell others and to help prevent anyone else from going through the hell I had to experience. Lastly, throughout the last few years, I had not been able to write this review because of the aforementioned, but certainly I have been voicing this horrible experience to all who will listen. My hair did grow back but it has never had the same volume as it was prior to being treated by the doctors at Tao Vitality LLC.

Our medical records confirm this precise measurement, and our protocols adhere to the highest standards of patient safety and care. Additionally, it’s important to clarify that prior to the iodine supplementation, your iodine levels were thoroughly tested. I cannot state your levels due to HIPPA but l will state firmly that under no circumstances would any doctor at TAO supplement with additional iodine unless a deficient level was found through standard blood or urine testing. Following the supplementation, another round of testing was conducted, and the results showed that your iodine levels remained well within safe limits. There was no evidence of elevated levels, let alone approaching any toxic dosage. Your health and safety are of paramount concern to us, and all medical interventions are conducted with the highest level of care and precision. Regarding the matter of the legal disclaimer, you were asked to sign before the refund process was initiated, it's essential to provide the context behind this requirement. This was not a “gag order”, as you mentioned, but rather a standard procedure aligned with our clinic's legal and insurance obligations. Given the circumstances surrounding your dissatisfaction and your expressed intention to seek legal action, it became necessary to ensure that our actions were fully compliant with all legal and professional standards. Furthermore, you mentioned the involvement of your lawyer and the threat of legal action against both Dr. Y******** and Dr. H******* It's crucial to clarify that our clinic has a duty to protect the interests of our patients and medical practitioners alike. By requesting your signature on the legal disclaimer, we aimed to create a transparent and legally sound process that would allow us to proceed with your refund while ensuring the best interests of all parties involved. We genuinely regret any misunderstandings that may have arisen from this situation. Our primary goal is always to provide our patients with the highest quality of care and attention to their needs.
