    I feel they cheated me and am filing a complaint. My 2004 Honda Odyssey's alternator quit, so I had AAA charge my battery. Then I limped into this gas station because I had worked previously with Nery, the mechanic there. However the owner, I guess of the mini-mart/gas part of the station, came out and said Nery was away in ***** ******* and would not be back until after the Holidays. However, he said he'd get me a mechanic but would not install my Delco alternator in its box, which I had purchased a few weeks before, knowing there was a problem with the existing one. I was going to have it installed at my next oil change. I should have suspected something when he wouldn't install my alternator and had the car towed to another station that would have installed my new alternator but I was in a hurry. They installed a new generator and my wife and I came to pick it up the next morning. The bill included three hours of labor and $299 for an Alternator. I paid him because my wife had to go but insisted that they give me a receipt for the alternator that they installed. Alternators. range in price from $85 for a rebuild to over $300. My Delco cost $148. I have subsequently requested a receipt and make of said alternator but have not gotten an answer. I feel they installed a rebuild and charged me $299. Interestingly, there is a Gulf sign at their location and if you google gas station at this address the name Cos Cob Gas Mart LLC comes up, and no Gulf station at this address.
