    Worst experience we've ever had with a contractor. This guy completely ruined $8,500 worth of wood flooring by letting smeared glue cure on top of the wood through the entire install. We repeatedly brought up our concerns with all of the glue that was being spread all over the top of the wood each day, and his response was continually "it will wipe right up". Well it did not! The contractor had the installation guidelines for the flooring and it stated in large bold letters IF USING GLUE DOWN TECHNIQUE, DO NOT ALLOW ANY GLUE TO CURE TO FLOORS, IT MUST BE WIPED UP IMMEDIATELY WHILE WET! He ignored these instructions, allowed glue to cure on top for 2 weeks, then he tried to use straight acetone and steel wool on the brand new floors to remove the glue!! He completely removed the finish off the top of the floors! He also was not able to remove the glue with this process. After meeting with four hard wood flooring experts, we were told there is no way to remove the glue, the only solution is to rip out the floors and start over. The quotes for this work are $30,000. We provided all of this info to the negligent contractor and offered to settle with him, only asking that he reimburse us for the ruined materials ($8,500) and refunding the lost of labor her charged us ($9,000). He has refused to pay us back anything. In fact, his only concern at this point has been telling us there are laws against posting negative reviews!! Beware of this man's unethical business practices, I would hate for anyone to endure what we have. Please feel free to reach out if you would like to see pictures of our floors.
