Besides old news, recycled, national news, we only get our newspaper delivered 50% of the time. You get an automated prompt when calling to report the non-delivery issue, and the recording says well have our subscription extended. Its regrettable that a town our size does not have a true local paper. Even small towns in ******** have local papers (even a weekly local would be better than what the Chieftain provides.)

This company is horrible. They took our money in September and still no paper delivered, we call weekly and they give us the same run a round, and guess what they still have our money and no paper. They refuse to let you talk to anyone at the paper its a call center and nothing but a run around. RUN RUN this paper is a joke and take your money.

They take your money and don't deliver the paper and you can't contact them to straighten out the issue. If you do get to talk to a person it's in a call center. Their parent company is in ***** but your payment goes to ******** and Achmed the service rep didn't even know where those were. Sounds like fraud to me. I wonder if the paper will be listed in its own obituary when it finishes dieing.

I have been a Chieftan subscriber for 38 years. The problem is that the paper is not being delivered and my complaints are being unresolved. If you call you get only a automated system response with no option to talk to a person. However, you can finally reach a person if you select choice # 4 (my Account) and work through the menu to speak to a representative. Big Deal ! You get someone with a thick accent who tells you they will escalate your problem to a higher level.Yeah, Right. The upshot is they don't resolve the problem and deliveries still don't get made.I have only received a handful of papers this June. It was a sad day when the ******* sold the newspaper to *********** Syndicate because if they really cared about their customers they would have done something about his a long tome ago.I also agree with many others who have made complaints to the BBB with the problem of where the paper ends up when it is delivered sometimes the driveway, on the lawn, in a snow drift who knows ?I am seriously considering canceling my subscription. PS. be very careful about using the **Edition. I received a trojan virus messge from an ad. Fortunately as a retired IT professional I was able to unlock my PC and fix the problem.
