There were some things that were good with the Grout Medic, basically everything leading up to me signing the contract. But it's the actual work that was terribly disappointing. Regarding the caulk, I contracted them to caulk around 3 sinks and one entire shower. - The caulk around one of the three sinks after a week of usage started peeling **. - ** the shower, there was missing caulk at the left and right bottoms of the shower door (not the weep holes) as well as the caulk around the two shower shelves and the soap dish had some gaps where I had to buy product and fill them in. (I filled them in because I told them about this and sent pictures but they didn't offer to come back and fix it). - We also, after about 4 weeks of use in that shower, are noticing black around the new caulk despite the fact that I've cleaned it twice in that 4 week time. And one corner under one of the shower shelves has worn a hole that needs filling. My guess is they put caulk on top of the old grout/caulk that had black on it so we're going to have to fix this ourselves as well, unless we want to try again to get them to fix it. Then there's the grout in the shower. They were supposed to seal it all. But there wasn't any beading when water got on the grout. Instead, it darkened the grout and soaked right in. When I texted them about this, they said that's what's supposed to happen. But all the sites I've read, like bobvila.com and others, say it's supposed to bead. So I applied sealer myself. Lo and behold, the water beads now.In my opinion, this was a huge waste of almost $600, as there are many issues and I'm having to learn how to DIY it myself to fix what they didn't do right.
