      This company is predatory. I lived in the Creekside Apartments in Lakewood. It was very cheap to move in (targeting **********) and then they start charging exorbitant late fees for each day you are late. This is why i moved out, because i was tired of how much i was giving them for my late fees. It was several hundred dollars, probably in the thousands over the course of my year and a half stay. I thought i had left on good terms, but turns out they did not think so. I had put my back out during my move, so it took one more day than planned. There also was a small bleach stain on the carpet from some Tide. I assumed that this would come out of my deposit. I thought i had left the place in pretty good condition. Every other apartment i tried to get after that they told them i had destroyed the place and this prevented me from getting housing. They ended up suing me for $3k! I thought it was absurd and could not possibly imagine why they felt I owed this to them. Now though, they are garnishing my wages for over $5k, to include the interest. This was 14 years ago that i moved out of there, and now they are taking $600 a month out of my paycheck! I would not recommend living anywhere managed by this predatory company.

      Tried several times over 15 years to move here. Finally timing was right and move in date was scheduled. ***** was signed online two days prior to move in. I read lease very carefully to see how much money was needed at move in. On move in day, manager informed me I needed to include the full rent for the following month. My reading of the lease said that would have been true if the move in date was one day later. They set the date. I was allowed to move in. However, within days the manager phoned me again telling me I was still wrong and that I better get it right because next time. The hostility she exhibited was alarming. I contacted her supervisor who did say the manager needed more training. However, there was no apology or explanation from the manager. From then on, I felt threatened. I did not know what to expect.Questionable writeups became regular events. **** letters are not enough to state everything. Just after six months on the lease, a writeup was issued that had no basis in fact. It was signed by the manager, further endorsed by her supervisor. The issue was noise at 2:00 a.m. blaming multiple guests from my apartment. Both management people had rehearsed answers to my protests, and what I did say was completely ignored. When my lease was up, it was not renewed.No reason has to be stated when a lease is at its end in ********. Therefore I have wondered why they would fabricate a falsely created writeup. I think the manager most likely invented the accusations, then **** her supervisor into supporting the writeup. There was no interaction regarding facts. They simply refused to listen. There was no noise at the times cited, yet even that they refused to hear.Owners/managers will always win over renters when there are issues, but these people flat lied. Leases do not spell out consequences when management has breached the lease. The hostility that began my lease never stopped, but I was the one who had to pay.

      Your lease was not renewed as Skyline considered the business relationship between yourself and Heritage Apartments to not be working out. We hope that you find a place that meets all of your needs and expectations, and that you're able to create a positive and fulfilling living experience for yourself and those around you.

      The writeup I challenged was delivered the day it supposedly happened. I did not have to try to remember the events of that night. In fact, I was relieved. We had no multiple guests. In fact, we lived by the doors that were allegedly slammed. There was no such noise as described even occurring that night.Corporate *** have received complaints at other times. You must be confusing your days. My neighbors would not lie about this. I believe your manager would and did. Then you believed her. Your manager failed to overcome her initial hostility toward us. We had enough real issues without fabricating a total lie. She should have waited a week, then perhaps our memory of the previous morning would not have been so fresh. Hearing We had to address it, out of both of your mouths sounded so fake and very rehearsed.
