  DO NOT HIRE! What a nightmare!We contracted with Hernandez in May 2023 to pour a concrete pad, construct a gas fireplace and do fence repairs. He didnt think that I needed a licensed plumber to run the gas line to the fireplace, the **************** disagreed. He knew from the beginning about the requirement, I sent the permit information with the signed proposal. Over the next several months, I reminded him at least 10 times about the permit. He was always checking on it and getting back to me, the problem was he never got back to me.Hernandez did the trenching for the underground utilities and poured the pad between 6/1-6/12. He had his guys construct the base for the fireplace over the next two weeks, they had to redo the base because they were the wrong size for the hearth caps ****** had ordered. ****** was at my house asking for more money on 6/20, stupidly I gave it to him. During that meeting I also told him we needed to get this project done. That was the last time he did any work.The electrician finished his work on 7/14. Spent the next week asking ****** to call or come by and get the project finished. I finally spoke to him on 7/21, he said he would have a crew there the next day. No call, no show. Sent several follow up texts asking him to call or come by and get the project finished no response.Finally talked to him on 7/27-he was on another vacation-his 3rd this summer. I told him we were done and were going to move forward with other contractors to get the job finished. I estimated that he would need to refund about $10k. We had the work completed and I sent a request for a refund, he responded with threats to put a lien on my house and *** me for 3 times the contract amount. Fully paid and incomplete job, what an ***.The worst thing is that he is actually my neighbor. I can see *************** hes building with stolen money from my back patio.

  DO NOT HIRE ****** HERNANDEZ - HE IS A SCAM AND A FRAUD!!!! He takes your money, lies about the terms, doesn't show up to work as promissed and never finishes the job! His businesses names are "Hernandez Concrete Design" and "the outdoor room", he might have other names fir his desolved businesses because of the numbers of law suits and bbb complaints that he has against him! Be aware of this person. He promised us to finish our project within 6 weeks and it's been over 6 months and the project is not done. He took over 2/3 of our full project money and did not do the work. The concrete he poured got cracks in it right away that he never fixed and never sealed, the stone work is not finished, the fireplace he started never got done and he was trying to put in a cheap burner in it with half an inch pipe to hook up to a 1 inch gas pipe that would have melted and caused safety Hazzard! The lights on the cement walls were never hooked up and are not working because he never put a transmitter for that. The plants and grass he put in are dying because he waited till mid of July the hottest time of the year even though he was paid for that 2 months prior. Do not believe the word that comes out of his mouth - HE IS A LIAR!! His business needs to be shut down and he should be hold accountable for all the fraud he is committing to us and all others that have been complaining to bbb and filing law suits against him!

  I have had ****** and his team do a few projects for me. First I had a 32 ft x 24 ft slab poured to park cars in my yard. Took them about 3 days of working time and I was super happy with the project. That was about 2 years ago and the slab is holding up great. I always have several cars parked on it and various trailers at times and have not had any major cracks develop or drainage issues. More recently my wife and I were getting married and decided we would put money into landscaping and do the reception at our house instead of renting a venue. Our house was previously a horse property and I could never get anything other than weeds to grow in the back yard. I called ****** with some plans I had hand drawn and he brought my drawing to life. They installed a fire pit and outdoor cooking area along with a bunch of sod, mulch, and a driveway made from asphalt ******** to the parking slab. They also installed a full sprinkler system for the new sod. The project turned out great. I told him what date I needed it done by before the wedding and they had everything done on time. I have since referred family members to him and would be happy to do business with him again.
