The $3000.00 tent only lasted a little over a year before it cracked twice. The customer service is not easy to deal with and now want to charge me storage fees for the shell top that broke because they have a bad quality product. Buyer beware this will not last. Do your research before you decide to purchase. I promise you will find better options.

***** ****** ************************ from zip/postal code: *****) opened a warranty claim with Roofnest on 9/13/2024 for a crack in her shell.

The resolution offered for her claim was a upgraded replacement top shell at no cost to the customer (product or shipping). It was explained to the customer that inventory was out of stock but would be available to ship in 1-2 months. The customer accepted the resolution and provided her shipping address.
When the replacement top shell shipped on 10/27 the customer was emailed shipping instructions, including the importance of connecting with the carrier to scheduling their delivery appointment in a timely manner or that they would be responsible for the freight carrier's storage fees.
The carrier was unable to contact the customer to schedule delivery and after several attempts, the carrier reached out to Roofnest for assistance.

Roofnest emailed the customer on 10/31 inquire if they were having difficulty with the carriers and to inform the customer that storage fees would begin and they would be responsible for the fees.

The customer did not reply to the email but was called on 11/01. The customer claimed that they had an appointment set for 11/05 and that there would not be storage fees. However, the customer later rescheduled the delivery to 11/07, and the carrier added storage fees. This delay in delivery resulted in 7 days of storage at $90/day totaling in $360.00. Since Roofnest contracts carrier for delivery, the payment does pass through Roofnest. These fees are charged by the freight carrier and Roofnest does not retain any percentage of the fees.
When Roofnest again emailed the customer regarding these fees, the customer became belligerent and unprofessional. The customer called the carrier, changed the delivery date, received her top shell, and successfully skirted around the fees, which Roofnest is now responsible for.

Roofnest made every attempt to resolve the customers warranty and assist with the customers delivery without fees for the customer. Proof of correspondence available upon request.

We bought the Meadowlark XL tent to go camping with the family. We have found it very easy to use and have been very impressed with the tent's functionality and quality. Fast delivery and I especially appreciated the quick and helpful response of the customer service team when I had questions about set up.

Roofnest is a scam at best. They ship faulty products and refuse to honor their warranty. They have been giving me the runaround for 3 months. Roofnest *****.

I bought a Roofnest Sparrow XL Adventure in mid June 2022. By august 2022 and after 2 uses, the tent developed a very large leak. I did however drill holes in the tent and install a pulley system since the company has not addressed the issue of not being able to close the tent alone. I completely sealed each hole, and after the leak started I thought that is where it was coming from so I removed the hardware and filled the holes with a plastic specific permanent waterproof epoxy and then covered each epoxy job with flexseal waterproof tape. Despite this effort, the tent still leaks a ton whenever it rains. **************** states they are unable to help me because of the voided warranty because I installed the pulley system. Fair enough, whatever. But I want other buyers to BEWARE of roofnest and their poor quality. Within the first month of having the tent, the seams on the inside of the tent began coming apart (roofnest was kind enough to send some seam grip to fix the issue, but for $3500 there should not be an issue). The tent as a whole is poorly built; a corner in the tent fabric was torn, and the lining on the inside of the shells is extremely poorly put together with seams visible everywhere and was already coming apart by month 2. ALSO, IF YOU CAMP ALONE, LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A TENT. If you have a lifted or tall vehicle at all, and are not comfortable climbing on the hood of you car, this tent is the absolute worst to close. I do not care about the refund or tent exchange anymore, I have no interest in owning a roofnest or dealing with them, I just do not want other people to make the same mistake I did and give this company your money. There are far better manufactures out there. Do your research and you will see there are consistent issues with their tents and their company.

Our Sparrow Roofnest cracked in three places on the roof. We had used the tent 5 times. We chose Roofnest as they claim great products and customer support and they are local. When we asked about a repair to the cracks, and sent pictures of the damage they told us we were out of warranty ( by less than 2 months) and we could buy a product to repair it ourselves. They did provide a link to the product. They never tried to figure out why the damage had occurred, as far as we know it could be repaired only to happen again. We paid over $3000 for this tent and did lots of research on other companies before we chose Roofnest. I feel like I have been lied to and cheated out of my money. I do not recommend Roofnest, or their products.
