  The heating system wasnt working. They would not hire a professional. They kept having an angry neighborhood man with no experience look into it. This man had verbally abused me in the past and I was uncomfortable having him in the house. I was forced to let this man in to work on the heater. He was unable to fix it. The walls, ceilings, and appliances all turned black from soot. Finally, a professional comes in and says we are lucky to be alive because of the high levels of carbon monoxide. There were no carbon monoxide detectors in the house( illegal). The chimney was clogged and all the chemicals were coming back into the house. We could have died. This went on for months while I was pregnant. It was such an easy fix but we were given the runaround and forced to be in ***** proximity to an abusive man I had complained about. The prices for rent are outrageous for what you get. Slum Lords! Manipulation, lies, intrusive. She may look like a sweet old lady and claim to be a feminist but she will lie, guilt trip you, ask for you to do things that are outside of a renter's responsibility, almost kill you and your unborn baby, make you break your lease, and then keep your deposit. I should *** her.

  This is by far the worst property management company I have ever dealt with. The constant unprofessionalism from the owner of this company makes for a horrible rental company. Dishonesty and rhetorical games are consistently used by the owner to avoid any semblance of responsibility. A lack of action on important work items coupled with non-productive and intrusive visits from the owner are characteristic of this property company. These visits were often without proper notice, and sometimes even without any notice at all. The complete lack of responsibility taken by Heart of Boulder to resolve issues while simultaneously being what seemed like as intrusive as possible ruined any potential for quiet enjoyment of the property. The owner claims to want every tenant to feel taken care of and supported by Heart of Boulder, but in reality they simply want to collect your money every month and do as little substantive work as possible. Do NOT get stuck in a lease with these people, you will regret it.

  I would give Heart of Boulder ZERO stars if that was an option. They are dishonest and untrustworthy. Beware of any property that needs work and the promises they make on when it will be completed. Expect them to enter your rental unannounced and not respect your privacy. Prepare for them to blame you for anything wrong with your rental during your lease term. Stay very, very far away from any Heart of Boulder rental property.
