We were referred to Sean Hensley from our realtor to help us with some projects around the house we just bought. His first two jobs ended up being what he quoted to us. We asked him what he would charge for tear out of our kitchen cabinets & counters, remove the soffits about upper cabinets, ceiling lights, move refrigerator water line and dishwasher water line, install cabinets in kitchen and hall bathroom. He told us about $5,000 for his labor + parts. It all seemed fair. Until we received his first invoice $3418.62 then $3854.33 arrived 11 days later. Then $4542.70 came 6 days later. We thought we were finished paying after the second invoice but the real SHOCK came when we received the $4542.7” invoice and we questioned him. At that time he told us we were paying by the hour and he was $85 an hour and his assistant was $65 an hour who was still learning therefore very slow!
Sean never stayed and put in a full days work. He would should up a couple hours after Matt did usually around 10:30-11AM, then they would take off for 1 to 1 1:2 hrs for lunch come back and work a couple more hours e before leaving. I’m sure he was charging us for his lunch time, once we found out about being charged hourly $150!, I asked Sean Hensley to let us know how many hours we were being charged for on our invoices. He never gave them to us. We had him finish up the install of the cabinets and then ended our working relationship.
We ordered Milguard windows through one of his contacts and Mr Hensley was going to install them. 6 weeks ago I was notified from the window supplier that Sean Hensley CANCELLED MY window order without talking to me! He thought I was going to have someone else install the new windows. This was extremely unprofessional! I had paid for the windows completely!
I would never recommend Sean Hensley to do any work on my house! He scammed us for $13,767.23 when he quoted us $5000! He only hung our dining table light that was not part of our origi
