    Pricing model is sleazy not to mention bad for business. I accompanied my son and 2 grandkids to Lava Island and was told I would need to pay for the privilege of watching my grandkids have fun? I see from other reviews here I am not alone in my opinion of feeling taken advantage of. Perhaps it is why the place was fairly empty in a busy city today.

    The rating is for their Birthday Party pricing model. This is the second year I have fallen into the same trap. They charge for anyone over 11 months, even if they are not walking. A parent or grandparent who brings a child and stays in the building is counted in the party total. Sometimes you end up with two parents who bring their child to a party. If a child is between 2-7, parents don't feel comfortable leaving them to the party host! Neither would that be fair to the host. This forces a host to go over the initial number of 16 people in the package real quick and ask for another package or pay an additional $20 per person. I had 44 people who came, only 20 of whom were children who actually took advantage of the facilities and entertainment, all adults were standing or sitting around. This turned out to be a ridiculously and unnecessarily overpriced event. Did I mention the pizza is terrible and there is ***** watching the children in playing areas so you have to rely on those parents who bring the children?! That's safety!

    They serve raw chicken and then tell you it isnt raw thats just the blood from the veins. Teens running over the little ones even in the preschool area. They are lucky there isnt another lava like place around of they would be out of business.
