Date of transaction was today, 12/15/2024. I decided not to purchase the Total Adblock subscription later in the day and was not able to go to my account and cancel the subscription. Nowhere on the site can you cancel and it takes you in circles. I looked up on line about their cancellation process and it too me to *********** to cancel the subscription for Total Adblock but they charged ***** to do the cancellation and also they wanted to add a monthly subscription for their site!! But they cancelled right away when I sent them a request to cancel it. I just read their privacy notice and it has a number to call to cancel. I will call in the morning since today is Sunday.Business Response

Canceling this Total Adblock without giving much of your personal information is complicated. I used ****** to be safer. I read some mixed opinions about it. They ask for too much of my personal information. Since then, I have been getting a new debit card. Also, they had my Discover card # as a backup payment. At least it was the last 4 numbers of it. I don't know how that info was obtained. I'm also getting a new Discover card. I wrote 2 letters in the contact us. I feel that would be enough to end this. They make it too hard to just cancel. I hope by canceling the 2 forms of payment is enough. I believe that is good enough?? They are also from the **.Business Response

TotalAdBlock advertised itself as being able to block ads on my computer. It did not successfully do so--in fact, I did not notice any changes, so I attempted to cancel my account. The way cancellation is set up makes it nearly impossible to do so. I would like my account cancelled immediately and a refund for the past several months of "services" wherein I saw no changes to the number of advertisements I received.Business Response

On 12-15-24 I was charged $75 for a service I didn't want. I do not have this extension on my computer anymore. Total Adblock even somehow got a hold of my NEW debit card number and charged it. I have only had the card for a month. Anyway I want a refund for the full $75. I will have to change my card ...again...I will file a stop payment with my bank once this clears. I will also contact my lawyer as I want to file a lawsuit to stop this from happening again and possibly make it a class action lawsuit as well, since I obviously am not the only one you do this shady stuff to.Business Response

BBB,Below is the email I sent to Total Ad Blocker several times. The first time I sent it was 11/14/2024 when I did a routine check on my **************** bank account. ************************ would not respond to any of these requests, but they told me to visit their Total Ad Blocker customer service. When I visited their customer service site, it provided me with no way to register my request. My name is ***** Ashland. I signed up for Ad block about a week ago. I don't know what I was supposed to pay but over a 3-day period you billed me $96.94. See my bank transactions below.11/13/2024#*******NF00QYMM1G TOTALADBLOCK$38.96 11/12/2024#*******NF0000E9S8 ************************** CA$38.98 11/10/2024#*******ND0000QES0 ************************** CA$19.00 It could have been an entry error by me but if something like this got past your billing department then that scares me. So please refund the $96.94 you have billed me and completely cancel my Ad block account and any Ad block subscriptions I might have. Please let me know if you are unable to do this.***** AshlandBusiness Response
