      Recently, while repairing my MacBook Pro, I got a bit too enthusiastic and accidentally stripped my Torx T8 and T9 sockets. I had made a mistake by using the wrong size socket for the repair. Since I couldn’t find a replacement in the stores, I reached out to the iFixit team. They honored my lifetime warranty and promptly replaced both sockets.       I've tried a lot of lithium replacement batteries over the years, and usually the versions I've tried are cheap and seem to not have much service life or fail within a few months. I decided to pay a little more and get a battery from iFixit because of the reviews claiming good battery life and reliability. The battery was shipped relatively quickly, and it was very easy to replace; there was even a tool included to remove the back cover screws and the battery screws on my MacBook Air. The whole process took maybe ten minutes. I am charging the battery per the calibration instructions. Time will tell if the battery lasts.

      The stand out in this product is the step by step walk through. The photography is amazing. It's far enough away to get a reference as to what's being photographed, yet close enough to see the detail of what needed to get done.
