  Be aware of customs and duties charges if ordering outside of the **. I was charged over 1/3 of the cost of my item in duties without any attempt to diclose these charges by the site. I tried to find a solution with customer service but I was just told it's not their fault. Now I'm stuck paying the same amount I would pay for a brand new item instead of pre-owned. Totally ruined my experience.

  Zero stars if i could what a scam this website is. Do not consign your stuff with them. I had them pick up 7 different items both bags and shoes and waited for approval of pricing. I get the pricing and didnt approve of a few items they were all low balled offers. I asked for the items shipped back. Days later i see my shoes i asked shipped back days ago were sold for super cheap! I talked to customer service and they said someone will be in contact to adjust my commission for the misunderstanding. I waited 2 weeks for a response for them to say they are not adjusting my commission. Hello?! You stole my shoes ! I should be getting full price for the misunderstanding. Then they ship me the wrong items back ! I asked several times to speak to a supervisor since everyone i spoke to is incompetent and i cant get anyone to call me back ! Stay away from this company

  I am beyond disappointed. The RealReal is a horrible waste of my time. They shipped me a ring that was obviously missing a diamond. How could they pack an order and not notice? Several emails later I was able to return the item. After all the time and effort on my part, for some reason they aren't even refunding the full amount paid. A real joke

  First and last time I will EVER work with the *********. In the beginning of April a friend of mine shared that the Real Real was coming to their apartment building to set up a consignment station. I had one bag that I never really used to decided to take it to the popup. I was not really 100% comfortable selling my bag but I wanted to hear about the process. I was reassured by the representative that I would receive multiple arounds of communication before my bag was live on the website. I specifically asked "once it gets to the consignment warehouse and the price of the bag is decided and I do not agree with the price that the bag will be listed for can I receive my bag back." she said with CONFIDENCE, "yes, your bag will not be posted online unless you approve the price." After I handed over my bag I received an email the next day stating my "bag was enroute" to the warehouse. That was on April 10th at 7:01pm, after that I never heard anything else from the real real. No confirmation from the associate I worked with and no emails following that. I had reached out multiple times and they assured me nothing has happened to my bag until last week after I kept checking my app and nothing was appearing I checked again and my bag was listed and sold. Without any knowledge that my bag was listed. Let me add that my bag was in very good condition compared to multiple listings of my same bag on the real real. My bag was listed for simnifically LESS than any of the other SAME bags on the real real. This was clearly a quick money grab for the company. I would have never 1. approved the price it was posted for, 2. it was then discounted 20% more, 3. I never heard from the associate I worked with, 4. never EVER received any other communication from the Real Real besides on April 10th. My bag is now long gone, I spoke with many people and they are not giving me clear answers. Still after a week of trying to speak with someone the associate that helped me has not reached out.

  Sold me a ring where the stone falls out of the prongs. Very disappointing, would not allow me to return. Purchased within a month or two.

  Cosignor Disappointment with Pricing and Descriptions with The Real Real (TRR)I am a consignor with TRR and have become disappointed with how they price and describe the items. I have provided them with new items (designer bags, etc.), and they price them very low.The descriptions of the items are almost always wrong. On many occasions, I had to call customer service to correct the descriptions of the items. I don't believe they have professionals reviewing the items as they claim they do. Also, I have requested the item back because of the low pricing, and they keep your items hostage for 30 days for no reason.Honestly, you are better off selling your items on **** or Poshmark.

  I am a consigner with this company, they took most of commission and they are selling my items for less. Also they take $15 from the check! I sold a pair of **** ***** heels and I got 0.30 cents in return, they sell the items for more expensive, put them on sale, and take most commission leaving the consigner with basically no money. I wouldve much rather sold my ********* ******* hoodie on Poshmark or **** and I wouldve made money. I genuinely regret selling with this company!! THESE PEOPLE SWEET TONGUE YOU SO THEY CAN LURE YOU IN AND MAKE NO MONEY!! Never sell with these people, they are scammers!!

  They sold a shoe to me without a strap, pretended to search for it but did not, would not reply to my emails, and left me with no choice but to take the item to the shoe hospital in good faith that they would refund me for the cost since they made a mistake. They refused to refund me the amount of the repairs, a manager tried to force a return on me, and no one would let me discuss the fact that they lied to me and kept me on hold for 10 days pretending to conduct a search that they never conducted. They wouldn't let me speak to anyone higher up to address the issue. The message is clear: return everything that is not as described because they will not help you if it's not. That's no way to conduct a business....

  They listed a ************************** bag as Medium. I bought it because I thought it was a Medium, and they won't allow me to return it even though it's not the size they named in the listing title. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was a Small because I DON'T WANT/NEED A SMALL. I need a Medium. Now I'm stuck with a bag I don't need. Absolute garbage customer service.

  SCAMMERS! I purchased a pair of shoes from them and it was too narrow. The item was unreturnable so I sent it back to have it consigned. After them keeping the shoes for a few weeks I decided to check on the status and was told that it has been returned to me because the team was unable to "authenticate" it. I'm sure it wasn't authenticated when it was sold to me so now I am stuck with a pair of fake designer shoes I overpaid for. Never again!
