At first it seemed like it was going to work out. As time went on, I began getting bounced from group to group. There are no one to assist with questions or concerns so you are basically working without knowing if you are doing things correctly. All of my tasks were accepted, though. Slowly I started getting dropped from projects until I signed and there were none. I still checked for a while and then stopped. About a month ago I got an email I needed to verify my account by sending a pic of my ID, and I did. Just today, almost 1 month later, I got an email replying to my email asking why I have to verify if I am not getting tasks. They reply with: *** 10, 2024, 9:32AM PDT Hello *********,Your account has been disabled due to the detection of an attempt to manipulate or exploit the platform, tools, or instructions to gain an advantage or artificially inflate pay; by seeking the assistance of other persons, technological automation, third-party materials, or tools in a project where this was not required, all of which are direct violations of our Community Guidelines.Best Regards,MykeD.Outlier Support I do not even know how to do any of these things. I asked for proof. of this. I believe they make up things to avoid paying their employees. Beware of this company!

Their training materials say the training is paid. I was never paid at all and spent hours doing their "tests" that they claimed would only take 40 minutes. Total scam. They owe me at least $120 for the work that I did.

Remotasks did not pay me over $1000 of payments for finished work. Is this even legal? ********** of ******** **** Somebody needs to do an investigation of their practices and abuse of workers. There is no way this is legal and I will be lawyering up

Remotasks is guilty of time theft and non-payment for substantial work completed by prospective contractors. Remotasks claims they provide a payout for their lengthy (4-5 hours) training project that you must complete in order to access real work on their platform. However, you do not receive payment if you do not pass the training exam, and they withhold payment until you also complete a real assignment. Review of your completed training project, and assignment of real projects, is at the leisure of Remotasks staff. They do not provide any estimate of expected time required to review, or expected time required to be assigned your first task, and they do not allow you to open a support ticket regarding either of these items if you are waiting a long time for review and payment. Furthermore, their platform is full of bugs, making completing ******************** extremely difficult. For example, the platform will suddenly delete large blocks of text you have input. They also encourage contractors to "take their time" completing ********************, however, in my case "taking my time" resulted in 4 hours of my work being erased. I started my training on 10/24/23. The platform stopped working on 11/1/23. I was about to work on the final part of the project when the platform sent me back to the beginning of the project. Not only is none of my progress saved (4 hours of my time and work), but it also appears I have been given entirely new tasks and the format for completing them is also entirely different. After numerous attempts to contact support, I was eventually informed that Remotasks had updated their assessments, and if you hadn't completed ******************** by the time of the update, you were required to start over. Support confirmed that no announcement was made prior to this update and there is no solution other than to start ******************** over from the beginning. Remotasks has already stolen 4 hours of my time, I will not be giving them any more.

I was working as an AI trainer completing tasks in field of expertise, Nutrition. After just a few days (as I was SUCCESSFULLY completing my tasks, i.e., they were accepted), I was informed that I was removed from my projects because of "low quality" work, and I was "in violation of Community Guidelines." I have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. I proceeded to inquire via 'support' as to what is 'low quality' so that I could make any appropriate improvements in my tasking work. I inquired numerous times ... each time I received a canned response stating that I did "low quality" work. I NEVER received any hint of a reason or explanation. Then I received a response stating that - "not to worry" - I would be allocated to a different project category, but IF I received another warning flag, I would be let go entirely. Well, the fact is that I NEVER even received an INITIAL warning in the first place!! Actually, I received TWO separate emails stating that I would be reassigned. However, I soon received a response from a different rep stating that I was removed from ALL tasking, i.e., let go. Once again, NO WARNINGS, NO REASON GIVEN, AND NO EXPLANATION. This is a completely incompetent and unprofessional organization. To accept an individual as an AI trainer after completing a screening process that took around 2 hours to complete ... and then hiring that individual ... and then giving that individual several tasks which he successfully completed ... to just boot that individual out the door without a specific reason or explanation?? I would say that's pretty **** league. This company is a complete a joke and a fraud. They should be investigated.
