    Earlier this year I needed to have 3 trees trimmed on my property in **********. This is work that I have had done for many years, and that I coordinate with a neighbor, because one of the 3 trees, a Brazilian Pepper tree, overhangs into their yard, and requires access to their yard to properly trim it. This time my PM switched contractors and obtained a proposal from Robin Hilton for the 3 trees. Robin Hilton's proposal for the work covered all three trees. Here is what their proposal stated about the Brazilian Pepper tree: "Perform a height reduction, bring in the shape, lace, and deadwood to 1 OVERGROWN BRAZILIAN PEPPER....NOTE: THE PEPPER TREE IS HANGING OVER AND ONTO THE SHED IN THE NEIGHBOR'S BACKYARD....NOTE: WE WILL NEED THE NEIGBOR'S PERMISSION TO ENTER THEIR PROPERTY."Robin Hilton did not obtain permission to enter my neighbor's property, did not enter their property, and therefore did not fully trim the tree. They trimmed what they could reach from my yard. When I brought this to their attention, they claimed the Pepper Tree was not actually mine, so they felt they fulfilled their commitment. Tip to Robin Hilton: When someone pays you over $1750 to do work that you yourself set the scope for, you should actually do that work. If you don't perform per the scope of work that you yourself wrote, you should make it right, instead of whining about how much time you spent not performing to scope. Enjoy the money, that's the last job you'll do for me, for my neighbor, or for anyone else we are able to warn.
