      THIS review is based on their rules and protocols and NOT the staff. I understand the safety and protocols as well as their "rules and standards".I have been donating plasma for ALMOST a year and per my last visit, they withdrew blood as per their standard every 6months. I went in for my routine plasma donation and I was not able to donate because they told me I was positive/reactive to HEP B.Hep B, mind you is a STD/LIVER disease. Now, because of this "positive" test I was deemed PERMANENTLY unable to no longer donate. Instead of retesting to be sure, they just assumed and not ever let me donate ever again!I have followed up with them because to be honest, I don't remember them even withdrawing blood and notifying me they were doing a routine blood withdrawal. Later, I received two letters stating to return to their facility only to be told the same thing. I finally called their office and they wanted to do a retest BUT even if I did the retest I still wouldn't be able to donate ever again. So, WHY waste MY time to retest if I can't donate ever again?I Followed up with my doctor and got tested TWICE and my tests were NON-REACTIVE/NEGATIVE!!! THIS alone has caused mental distress for my well being because I know I take care of myself. Their policy is absolutely the worst and made me truly upset with the outcome. I feel as if some how they could've mixed up my blood/name with someone elses!! Granted, they always verify my name prior to every donation/withdrawal. However, There was one occurance prior to donating where they noticed someone else had the same name as me and same last four of my social.I really hope they change this policy, instead of permanently banning someone who genuinely wants to help others with this plasma donation/purpose they retest before making such decision! Unacceptable.

      Not impressed,This ******** is raggedy and The staff is not that skilled,not the creme of the crop, they are the bottom of the barrell. The phlebotomists at the same Diego ******** lacked the ability to draw blood from my donation 3 times in a row, but when I switched to a different center close by there was no problem. Only after my unsuccessful donations did the staff say I needed to submit a sample to go forward but didn't say why they needed the sample .When I returned weeks later and complained the staff "remembered" for the first time tha there was a problem with my protein levels. When a basketball player misses a shot to win the game he does not order that the ball be inspected, yet that is what is happening in my case. A short almost midget in stature African American gentleman told me " hey, maybe we get your sample back *** few days maybe in a 3 weeks. So unprofessional was his behavior that this ******** might have lost a customer for life
