    My son inadvertently purchased tickets to see a wrestling event held in **********. He was trying to enter the event as an athlete and not to purchase spectator tickets. He filed a claim for a refund within minutes of discovering the mistake and it was denied. I find this to be tantamount to theft and am disgusted with the decision to not refund the money.

    Hello,

     

    Purchase Protection is a separate company from the event organizer, and we do not provide refunds for accidental or mistaken purchases. Our terms and conditions cover these situations explicitly in Section 4:

    "Accidental Event Purchase: Purchase Protection wont apply if the purchase of the event was on accident or through a misunderstanding with others, or if you forgot you already bought tickets and bought the same tickets. Purchase Protection wont apply because of an accidental or duplicative event purchase. If you chose the wrong option, ticket level, or package by mistake, please contact the event organizer to correct the mistake as user error is not covered by **********************." 

    We have directed the customer to the event organizer for assistance with a ticket refund according to their refund policies, and have already refunded the Purchase Protection enrollment fee as promised in our previous correspondence with the customer.

    IF I could give this company 0 stars i absolutely would. Was offered this protection when i purchased tickets to my son command dinner at his ************ graduation so it seemed as a no brainer to purchase as anything could happen and his graduation date be pushed or he get medically hurt. Well he was injured in boot camp and his date was pushed to unknown per the phone call we received from him. This company wants proof and the only proof is a phone call home to tell us he would be in touch with a new date soon, filed a claim and it was denied with this crappy company. Buyer be ware, do not purchase and make sure that when and if you do you read the fine print. Another racket by an insurance company to take advantage of people.

    zero stars.THEY IGNORED MY CLAIM AND IGNORED MY REQUEST FOR FOLLOW-UP. NO COMMUNICATION SINCE OCT. 19TH EXCEPT EMAIL ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF CLAIM.THIS MUST BE A SCAM.
