The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government’s allegations, which have not yet been proven:
On January 5, 2017, the Contractors' State License Board (CSLB) filed an accusation against Syntrol Plumbing Heating & Air, Inc. (Syntrol) and several of its officers, seeking revocation or suspension of Syntrol's license and preventing the officers from serving any licensee during the period of discipline. According to the accusation, Syntrol made substantial misrepresentations in the procurement contracts; deliberately or willfully violated state building laws; employed unregistered salespeople; departed from trade standards; operated under an unlicensed name, and failed to notify CSLB's registrar for nearly three years that they added a new CEO. Additionally, citations previously issued to Syntrol by the CSLB between 1999 and 2015 were cited as matters in aggravation.
