On their website, www.cityweeds.com, Golden State Weeds is advertising a product called Rick Simpson Oil with claims such as:
"Rick Simpson oil is famous for its cancer fighting wonders and commonly used by many people who have cancer or are fighting off cancer."
"Rick maintains that virtually every type of disease and ailment can be treated and cured using high grade Rick Simpson hemp oil."
"In addition to its effectiveness in treating cancer and numerous conditions, Rick Simpson cannabis oil also has marvelous anti-aging properties."
According to the BBB Code of Advertising, "Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data."
On June 6th and June 13th, 2022 BBB wrote to Golden State Weeds requesting documentation substantiating their claims. As of today's date the company has not responded.
