On February 27, 2024, BBB Serving Los Angeles and SiliconValley initially contacted the business and requested that they substantiate,modify, or discontinue claims in the company's advertisement in AOA News and Buyers Guide - San Fernando Valley. Thebusiness advertises “Hereat Durable we pride ourselves at giving the best price for a fantasticproduct.” and “Nobody beatsour price! Nobody!”
The BBB Code of Advertising states that, "Despite anadvertiser's best efforts to ascertain competitive prices, the rapidity withwhich prices fluctuate and the difficulty of determining prices of all sellersat all times preclude an absolute knowledge of the truth of unqualified underselling/lowestprice claims. 12.1 Advertisers must have proper substantiation for all claimsprior to dissemination. 12.2 Unqualified underselling claims must be avoided.12.3 Advertisers can lessen the potential for consumer confusion by appropriatequalifications to any underselling/lowest price claim, such as by stating, iftruthful, that the advertiser will meet or beat a lower price. In suchcircumstances, the advertiser must comply with Section 13.”
